Do you think that a Moro Substate is a good idea?

Hello Lotters,
They have been asking it for years ever since the creation of the government on this country. but now recent event with The President Noy having these meetings with the leaders of the Moro Islamic Liberation front asking for a substate at least. but they were a lot of skeptism to this and such cannot be allowed yet because the Current Constitution states that it's not allowed, and where going for this CHA-CHA again, aren't we? 
Former part of the Negotiating Panel member was skeptic as he thinks that Leaders of the MILF is probably just fooling around with the President knowving the impossible can't be done. not to mention MILF have to fight those who withdraw and form the BANSANG MORO ISLAMIC FREEDOM FIGHTER's Group.unfortunately, this is a clear division of the MILF, i think it's the time that the government to divide and conquer them, some day. having a substate could raise more breeding grounds for more muslim extremist and more terrorism. besides, our government is to immature for that.

At first they demanded autonomy and viola the ARMM is created. Now they want to become a sub state, do they mean ala vatican? they must be kidding. And what's the definition of a sub state anyway? They should clearly define what a sub state is against the current mandate of the ARMM because they could just be asking for something that is already in existence. As Albert said, you give in once and expect them to ask for more.

Hello Ybong, I agree with you, they just want the entire mindanao at their wake, to have a complete separate state. i believe now that the Aquino admin is making a wrong move out of this. maybe they should be iradicated just like what erap almost did. they should just let go and allow the government for a full take over, there are muslims that are already government officials.

As far as I'm concerned there could be as many as 7,100 islands or even more if it's low tide 
but there's only one Philippines. There should only be one government. Those who don't like it here can leave and go somewhere else. They can go to the middle east if they want. Who knows they could find the freedom they're looking for in that place. There should only be one armed forces under the government and the rest treated as enemies of the state and therefore needs to be eradicated. One of the reasons why Mindanao, in spite of its rich natural resources won't prosper is because of these armed groups who keeps sowing fear to its people. Another reason is the politicians who only make sure about one thing and that's to make sure that they bloat themselves with government funds once they're in power. So how can they manage themselves if they are left alone? If there's one thing that I'm sure of if they are to have complete autonomy is that they will only be after its other throats.

I should know how these people are because I am from Mindanao. the past administrations already gave them the chance to improve the livelihood of their people and yet nothing happen up to this day it even got worse. The government should treat them as threat to the country since they are known to create trouble particularly Mindanao. The govt should give them an iron fist in disciplining them and should give them strict boundaries in terms of following the law of the land. Theres no need to revise or make another law to deal with them, if they are honest and sincere in offering peace, it should start from them, lay down their arms and abide the law of the country since they live in one republic. mindanao will never be divided or be given since we belong to only one country.

Hello gelay, I guess you're right but erap only had the balls to show that they're no supposed to rebel and laid their arms down. as of the Present administration, i think it's a pure gamble and a lot can be upset by this. but if another war with the rebels comes again, i got a bad feeling that it's gonna get worse. have anice day

i just don't agree and don't want to agree with the proposal.
like they said, they have no contentment. they already have the armm and now they want a substate? we already give them what they wanted then and now they want more?

Hello Neildc, If Erap was the President he will resume what he started and that is to destroy the MORO rebels in the area in mindanao. i think those people will never stop until they have taken over the entire mindanao and probably soon the whole country. i think the government should take advantage about this rebels dividing from each other.have a nice day

Okey my opinion here would express what a simple citizen like thinks about it and who doesn't really read the newspaper or watch the news programs.I would say, it this substate issue has been causing us problems, loss of lives and property and tarnishing the tourism industy, then give them what they want!!! What is the use of fighing for this piece of land at the expense of safety and peace for the whole country. We can survive without that piece of land and maybe there will be peace and that would benefial to the majority.They want peace too and they won't get it until they do it on their own.Give in,Noypi.

Hello lipstick, Erap tried to get rid of them all but unfortunately they are nothing more than just mere freaks that can't be get rid of with. they never should have considered going for the kill now that the rebels have divided themselves again. i think Noyp should choose whether what's good for the people and for the rebels but he must choose ONE.can't do both

hi friend, if your question is " is it a good idea ", definitely not, nothing is gonna work there unless we all learn to co-exist like what our other Asian neighbors are doing. They can call it by many names like ARMM, substate etc... but it's still the same rotten banana , sorry for saying that. I think there should only be one armed group there and that's the Armed Forces of the Philippines. We tried to absorb former members of the MNLF, made so much treaties and pacts but nothing seemed to work, new armed groups would just keep popping up

Hello Louievill, I agree it seems that they really don't take the governments offer seriously because new forces keeps popping out there. I believe we are not going to co-exist like a substate because violence will not stop and conflicts will continue to resume from time to time. have a nice day
