What do you have to do to make your site a popular one for profiting from ads

I want to know how can i make a subdomain site one that's popular and fun for visitors and profit from it with good content and fun stuff.

I am initiating a big portal for the net in my country and I am dealing with the same questions. I am doing in my portal things that I love and I am learning during the process because I am also writing and doing things for it. I do what I love, I put things that I love, I am bringing writers that I believe in, and hope that others will love it too. I don't see another way to do it. you need to enjoy the process, if you will enjoy I guess there will be others who will.

I make a subdomain site from other services, all was set automatically and it's make me money not only from PPC but also from CPA.

I use other site to make it, even I use blogger but the result are not as good as like it.
