Josep Guardiola led Barcelona has just won the Spanish Super Cup. With this achievement, Pep managed to equal the achievements of his predecessor, Johan Cruyff as the club's most successful manager.
Barca's victory was obtained after a beat Real Madrid 3-2 in the second leg on Thursday (08/18/2011) . With this, Barcelona become champions after a 5-4 aggregate win.
one additional trophy collection Guardiola made to 11 trophies. According to statistics of Infostrada, the number is equal achievement by legendary coach Barcelona, ??Cruyff.
Guardiola repeat success since the golden era was appointed coach of Barcelona in the 2008-09 season. In his debut season when train Lionel Messi et al, Pep directly present six titles trophies
In the second season, Guardiola has indeed failed to match the previous success. But he managed to bring his team maintain the La Liga title and carried off the Spanish Super Cup.
2010/11 season, under his direction, Barca scored a hat-trick won La Liga and the Champions League trophy brought back to Spain. Los Azulgrana almost repeat the treble champions but lost 0-1 in Copa del Rey final of Madrid.
Guardiola will not be able to perhaps as successful without the philosophy brought by Cruyff. The man from the Netherlands is implementing "a tiki-taka style" that makes Barca now as the world strongest club .
Coming to Barcelona in 1988, Cruyff did not provide instant success to his team. He took a year to bring Barca win Cup Winners Cup, before winning the Copa del Rey next season. But after that, Cruyff's Barca his arguably unparalleled.
Successful Cruyff brought Barca La Liga champions four straight times from 1991-1994 tauhn. That success was followed by winning the Spanish Super Cup trophy three times and the Champions League for the first time in 1992.
Cruyff apparently must recognize the benefits of his own former protege, Guardiola. Although both won 11 trophies, but Guardiola is able to achieve in just three years alone! While Cruyff, who now serves as Honorary President of the club, it took at least eight years.
Guardiola is now begin the way as Barcelona's most successful manager in history. He had the opportunity to add his title collection exceeds Cruyff achievement, beginning with the escort Barca face FC Porto in the race for the European Super Cup, end of this month
here are the trophy collection of both managers:
Guardiola
La Liga (3): 2008-09, 2009-10, 2010-11
Copa de Rey: 2008-09
Super Spanish (3): 2009, 2010, 2011

If we go by the number of trophies won, then definitely Guardiola scores over Cryuff. But what we need to remember is that Cryuff was the one that started the concept of total football which is now being brilliantly displayed by Guardiola's team. It is more difficult to bring in a new concept rather than to keep the concept going on. So I would currently rate Cryuff a bit higher than Guardiola.
Cheers!

I think with the collection of the trophy , we can say that Pep Guardiona is better than Johan Cruyff
But certainly it is not wise, if we ignores the role of Johan Cruyff
We need to remember that Johan Cruyff is the foundation stone of the foundation of the current Barcelona team was coached by Pep Guardiola
And of course we must know that Pep is one of the protégé of Johan Cruyff
and I feel that Pep was inspired much of tactics of Johan Cruyff

I think it is very hard to compare this two extraordinary personalities, as football has changed a lot since Cruyff was the trainer. And it is not only the amount of trophies, it is also the importance of the trophies, a Champions League crown meaning more than a Cup Winners Cup. So it is difficult and almost impossible to make this comparison. But I guess Cruyff has nothing against Guardiola winning more and more trophies with Barcelona, no matter the records.

Maybe the tactics of Johan cruyff is followed by Pep...and he changes a litlle with a current situation and produce a new tactics, called "Tiki Taka"

The tactics called tiki taka is the result of the Dutch tactic called "Voetbal Total" or Total Football, which was invented by a Hungarian from Romania, Kovacs Istvan together with the Dutch trainer Rinus Michels, who is officially credited as the inventor of this type of tactics. Of course, Pep has brought it almost to perfection, but he has good players which were raised in this spirit so he has no difficult task with the Barcelona grown players.
