You set the alarm clock, then?

You set the alarm clock, then you turn it off once it rings in the morning. Then, you sleep again. I, myself, always do that. I just don't know why I still set the alarm time at night when it won't serve its purpose in the morning. Do you do the same?

It happens with me all the time. Every time I set up an alarm in hope that i might wake up on time but every time it is a sort of failure. One day either I will stop setting up the alarm or will start waking up at the alarm sound. Have a nice day!

This will surely be a nice try but actually these days I do not care much about the alarm because i do not have much to do. I know that I will be back on track when I will have something important to do which requires waking up early..

Then, you should be enjoying your long sleeps now. When your busy, you won't have much time for that

If you want, you can try the suggestions of the other mylotters. I think I'll try one of their suggestions of having multiple alarm clocks, set at different times, and located all over the room.

Though you're interrupting your sleep with an alarm clock,it's nice to be able to ignore it and roll over again if you'd accidentally left the alarm on when it's your morning off,or the weekend..but If You REALLY have to get up,put the alarm clock well away from the bedside so that you have to physically get out of bed to turn it off,or use multiple clocks (for example-Set your cellphone as an alarm as well,my clock has 2 alarms built in,and it starts quiet and gets louder and more annoying the longer I leave it!) basically,if you need an alarm to get you up in the morning, you need to make sure you have one that'll do the Job.

Hi ShepherdSpy Maybe two meters away will do, or maybe three. And I'll buy multiple alarm clocks placed all over the room and set at different times (as suggested by a mylotter).

there's all kinds of gadget alarm clocks too to make it difficult to go back to sleep..one is on motorised wheels and will run off when the alarm sounds,so you have to get up and go find it before you can turn it off...another has a little flying disc that takes off with the alarm, and you have to find where that landed before the alarm can be turned off.. OR you could have someone bring you breakfast in Bed..that's a nice way to be woken up...

Those are cool alarm clocks. I haven't seen those kinds here in our place yet. The ones available here are just the normal ones, or maybe I haven't just searched our whole place yet. The alarm clock with motorized wheels is really cool. The alarm clock with the flying disc is somewhat strange. If you didn't find the disc then the alarm won't stop. Windows shouldn't be open when the disc flies.

Lol, I just did this today! I usually get frustrated when my alarm clock comes on, even though I KNOW I set it for a certain time. Doesn't matter. Since I set the alarm on my phone, all I have to do is press a button on the side of it and it'll snooze...for 5 minutes, then the alarm rings again. It's a nice trick, especially when you abuse the snooze button like I do haha!

Yeah. It's like you are just playing with your alarm. I used to have a phone with the same feature as yours and one where you can set multiple alarms. But I sold it, so my waking habit or waking time had gotten bad.

i know a person who does this. my bf. no matter how many times i tried to use the alarm clock to wake him up, he keeps on doing the same thing - turning it off or setting it for a later time.

It's good that you have already devised something that can wake up the both of you. Well, as you have mentioned in the other discussion.

I set the alarm clock for waking up on time in the morning. It works well for me. I used to turn off the alarm clock after it had rang and I went back to sleep. But I worked that situation out. I put the alarm clock in the opposite place several meters from my bed to make me to get out of bed crossing the room to turn the alarm clock off when it rang in the morning. It made me to wake up to stay awake.
