The moment I hear my husband opening the gate of the house, at night , coming from his work , I know that I have a competition for the remote control of the TV on our bedroom. After assisting him for his dinner, since we always had dinner earlier than him, I would immediately go to the bedroom and so will he. Then, he will ask where is the remote? I will tell him, I will give it to you after I am done with the soap opera I am watching and would hide the remote under my pillow. He has no choice but to watch it too, because the TV at the sala is used by mother-in-law. I would only give it to him after the soap I am watching has ended. Then, it’s his turn to hold the remote.

A man and his remote are usually inseparable. When I get home, and sit on the couch, I would also always reach for the remote. But the big TV in the living room always have the kids as competition as their xbox is also hooked up in there. So, most of the time, I have no choice but go in the bedroom where I can have my own TV and my own remote!

LOL we always had problems about who will hold the remote when we were kids too We always had a huge fight for the remote control haha!! ANyway these days we don't coz the three of us, me, my sister and my brother, are always busy with our laptops and internet. Mom watches tv most of the time without any interference Dad has a connection of cable to his pc too so we have no problems

I always have the remote control but sometimes I have to give in when the kids wants to see cartoons. I also have a knack of changing from channel to channel when there's commercial but when my wife is watching a soap then me and kids can have the remote but we can't change the channel.

Oh, that's one habit of my husband that i don't like whenever he holds the remote. He also would keep on changing the channels. Well, he can do so, to his heart's content , if i am done watching my soap. But when our daughter is on vacation from schooling in Manila, i would make a deal that when my soap is already airing , she can ask her granny at the sala to watch her favorite program there. Her granny never says no to her.

I think the TV remote control is one of the only things that people try to take control of. I go through that myself with my girl friend. But since I am on the computer most of the time, I let her use the remote, but when we go to bed, I take the remote. I guess thats a good compromise.
