Salary that I will receive will decrease NEXT PAYDAY

Philippines
August 19, 2011 10:01pm CST
Our office is depending on the sales we got but unfortunately one of our client was disapproved for their bank loan and the other had a heart attack so he declined to pursue the said business. So, our boss decided to decrease the salary we receive and we just can get the full salary if we will have sales. It is really hard for us now. I am planning to leave this company soon. I will be so sad then for because I can freely use mylot in here.

That's too bad. That is against labor practice. But of course considering the financial condition of the company ,it is better than not receiving at all. If you have the opportunity to find a job in another company, maybe its high time for you to pursue it. Good luck to your next job.

I thought you were a nurse clare? Are you a sales agent or in a call center service? Anyway, I hope you earn more from your other line of works. And yeap, I think your company is not a good one. How come your salary may be changed anytime? Don't you have a contract?

Is there a way for your employer to increase some business so you can maintain or increase you pay? It's hard times everywhere and it's just how the game is played when it comes to finances either your approved or not and if you've got someone who has become ill they'll do what is best for their health over business plans.

Too bad, you are on of those who will be receiving less salary due to the bad performance of the company. One of my close friends recently also complaining that her salary is getting lesser now. It is because her company not getting good sales recently to give them salary. Now, she have started to apply job and hopefully can get much better job soon. While you are still working here, hope you will find a much better job for the good of your future. Good luck to you...

So far, she had gone through a few job interviews and still waiting for the final decision made by any of the companies. Don't feel sad. Pray more and i am sure God will help you, too. Meanwhile, hope you will work hard to find another good nursing job around your area...I will pray for you, too...

Does your boss just decrease your salary only next month or forever. If it's just next month, you can stick on your present job. Because this kind of things can happen to any sales company. But if it's forever, you'd better leave.

so sorry. a lot of companies are doing that. things are still getting harder every where. my sons company has lost a few clients also from other companies under bidding them on jobs, so my son has taken salary cuts and if we dont find a better way soon, its going to get worse. he cant quit for fear of not finding another job before he looses out on a couple pay checks. would put us out of the house.

I totally know how it feels like bunnybon, I am scared what will happen to but things are not working out, i haven't seen any progress for 3 months now. I think I need a better job for me, job suitable for my course. Please do pray for me to find a job as a nurse, not in business related. I will pray for your son/family too. In God's grace we will conquer everything. God bless us all

Well, times are hard. A lot of companies are closing because they could not cope with expenses. Your company is not an exemption. If you can find a much better company, then it would be good for you to transfer.

I suggest that you look for a new and stable job next time. Really we can't blame if some companies do not perform well. It is the nature of business. What's important is that you can move on from that. I feel the same way as you are now. I have recently resigned from my work wherein I am free to use the internet even at working hours. I can do a lot of my earning sites online from there. But I resigned and will have a different work in a couple of weeks from now. I won't have access to my online sites anymore with my next work, so I am expecting a decline from my activity for my online sites. Too bad, but still, looking at the bright side of life as I can see some of my compensation and benefits improve. Stay where you are until you find the next stable and better job out there.

such unforeseen happenings can occur any time, no one can have control over it, but making these a reason to decrease salary is kind of Hitler gesture. Your boss should have said that its fine, next month try to increase the sale, as there were genuine reasons for reduction in sales.

You're definitely right, it's a hitler gesture and I hate it. I feel so bad and I will receive the decrease salary today. It's not enough for me and for my brothers needs.

I know right but he doesn't have any choice for three months of having no sales. I know how he feels and the solution right now is to decrease what we receive and will give us the exact amount if we already have the sales.

Hello nurseclare, If the distance between this company and your home and so many transport expense then i guess it's optional to leave. why are you planning to leave? is the salary not enough for your daily expenses? well, that really goes for the business because they rely on customers and clients to earn profit. if they are deducting salaries is because they have survive or they will close down soon if they don't. don't you have PC back home? good luck on your plans.

Hi LK, my salary is not enough at all because I provide the needs of my brother, i gave him allowance everyday so it's pretty tough for me even if Id on't spend much for my transport expenses. Yes, there business is slowing down. We do have PC at home, in my province but it doesn't have internet and I don't have laptop yet, i will save for that soon.

Hi! that's sad news, i think that is not allowed in the labor code, i dont know if we are in the same country, but as far as legalities is concerned, decreasing the salary of employees is not allowed by law. The company should shoulder the portion of the salary given to their employees and they should do their best to increase their revenues by looking for other clients. Anyway, i guess if that is the case you have to look for another jab and this time see to it that the company you are transferring to is more stable. Good luck!

We're on the same country triplejazzm51, and it is wrong but our boss has no choice for there is no sales. He is not saying he will totally decrease our salary but a portion of it will be saved and we can get the money if we will have sales. The amount will decrease because the portion of it will not be given to us unless we have sales. It is not good at all. I will really look for another job..

Awwh I am sorry to hear of this sad news. Do not forget that sometimes when one door closes another great one will open. Stay as positive as you can as maybe something better will come very soon. Try and find a job first before leaving this one, as I have always felt it is easier to find a job when you are working as opposed when you are not. I will sy a prayer for you and keep my fingers crossed for you.
