Tottenham Hotspur hope Luca Modric survive and do not accept the proposal from Chelsea. But if Modric went, "the Lilywhites "believed to still be able to finish in the top four in EPL this season.
Chelsea are currently referred to already prepare the money worth 30 million pounds for the sake of bringing Modric to Stamford Bridge. After the first offer is rejected the Blues, the second attempt is believed to produce positive results.
With a large role given Modrc for the Spurs, the departure of players from Croatia was not expected Spurs players and fans. But despite the 25-year football player will be gone, there is a belief that the Spurs will remain competitive and will even be able to finish in the top four.
"There is much speculation about the injury and we do not know when this will end. I hope he will survive, but we still have a lot of fantastic players and the team is good enough to finish in the top four," said Rafael van der Vaart.
Not many purchases are made the Spurs in the transfer market this summer. Despite failing to re-enter the Champions League after only finishing fifth last season, Van der Vaart had enough belief in the potential of the Spurs this season.
"Manchester City have spent a lot of money this summer, as well as Manchester United. But we differ in Tottenham, and it's not a problem for us," complete Dutch midfielder ..
Do you had a same belief like Rafael Van De Vart??

I think Modric has been the brain behind the Tottenham success in the field over the past two years. His absence would be a big hole in the Tottenham midfield. Currently I think Van der Vaart would fill that gap to some extent, but they will still need another quality midfielder if they have to challenge Arsenal and Man City for the fourth spot.
Cheers!

I think Luka Modric is the engine room for the spurs. All others play around him including Van Der Vaart and Kranjcar when he plays. Niko Kranjcar is a on-off kind of player. On his day he is really very good and can carry on the team. But then there are days when he is completely not contributing anything. So I do not think he can replace Modric.
Cheers!

First, we have to wait and see if Luka Modric will accept the offer. He is definitely a great midfielder, but there is life after him as well. I think that Tottenham will get lots of money for him and will be able to buy somebody else in his place. And they still got lots of good players and a great playmaker in the person of van der Vaart. I think Modric is a quality player, but he can be replaced. As for Tottenham's chances to get a Champions League spot, it will be very hard, but not impossible. I guess we will have to wait and see.
