In my country sometime I found weird food to eat. I said weird because they using unusual material like brain or blood. For example, in East Java you may find food call "Dideh" and this food use animal blood (cow or chicken) as their main ingredient. I could give recipe on this but this will against Mylot rule, sorry. I just wonder, there's any other unusual food in your country or not? Are you already taste this kind of food? Some people might called this disgusting food but others might said delicious

The UK still has a couple of odd foods. First is black pudding, which is a sausage made from blood; the second is haggis, a Scottish speciality which consists of a sheep's heart, liver and lungs mixed with a bunch of other stuff and (traditionally) simmered in a sheep's stomach for about 3 hours... I've never eaten either, though I'm assured they're both lovely. Is cow's urine still considered a drink to purify the body/soul in India, by the way? I'd heard a devout Hindu guy intended to turn it into a popular soft drink over there back in 2009.

That last question is directed at the general myLot readership, not specifically you, of course.

Food using heart, liver and lung as their main ingredient you can find it easily in my country. But black pudding ....... sound interesting, but unfortunately I can't go to UK (too expensive for me). I don't know about cow urine "stuff" in India but I do know that some people drink their own urine to cure something in their body. Usually drink it first in the morning after they wake up and pee ..... I don't know sure for detail.

I prefer coffee. An amusing little memory from when my (now) fiancee first visited me and my family: she's French and my mum asked her if there was anything in particular she doesn't eat. We expected an answer like "I don't really like pork" or something... she said "tripe and sheep's heads".

I have tasted food with weird ingredients. One of my favorites is "bopis". It's made of pork lungs and heart. We have a lot of weird cuisines in the Philippines as well. We have "dinuguan" which is mainly pork blood. I guess what most tourists find icky is the "balut" or steamed duck egg. The duck fetus is already developed and you have to eat it whole so you will not be bothered much by the duck's fetus. I personally can't eat it. I can only eat the yolk. =)

I'm not sure that I can enjoy to eat that kind of food but as soon as I get enough money to travel, I gonna try it. I think your culinary is not available in my country but your country and mine is close enough so might be not to costly if I travel to your country.

Well I'm not into eating blood as well. =) I've tasted it before but I didn't like it. I also can't get the thought that I'm eating pig's blood out of my head. But I like eating duck egg. I don't eat the duck fetus but the yolk is really tasty. I haven't travelled out of the country yet but I imagine the airfare is relatively cheap.

That is very interesting. I have been to Java and I have heard about the unique ways of preparing food. I have been to some countries where people prepare food with snake meat, and that as a speciality. Of course, if one is not used to such food, it is hard to enjoy.

I know it hard to enjoy if we know what kinds food they made from. For me, these kind of food just like culinary adventure. We don't have to enjoy but tasting on it might giving us another kind of sensation.
