Maybe the Gigi that comes out to strip at the Spotty Pony will be Gigi's sister who everyone thinks is dead. She did perform in Las Vegas using Gigi's name. Also, when she supposedly drowned in the pond in the woods, her friend left the boots and later a person took them. So maybe Gigi's spirit is leading Rex to her sister.
