Have you ever turned to one? Well my daughter said i did last night. I didn't mean to but i guess i did. I was in pain, well i am in pain... i have another one of those boils again starting up and it is pretty much painful and i am feverish again and i have my monthly period and is giving me cramps! It is torture - believe me!! I was soooo cranky last night...everything irritated me..from the the noise to the mess! My husband even said so.. but i didn't mean to. In order to avoid further crankiness i just slept.. But this morning my daughter said i was monster mom to them last night and i felt bad but i was really in pain..but i apologized to them and hugged them. What do you mommies do when you are in this situation? like when you are not feeling well and in pain and the kids are extra naughty? the house is extra messy as well?

i so know how you feel. when mine were small and i was going through all that the same would happen to me and id think of something to make up for it. then just last week, even though mine are grown, i was going through so much and still am that i thought i was being a terrible mother and not very understanding. ive tried to make up but not sure if it worked.

I'm preatty sure I could become one if I had kids cause i was a 'mosnter sister' while defending younger brothers, I went all the way and terrorized whoever hurted them physically or psychologically, I'm too over protective.

my wife is always a monster too whenever she has period. i can feel the pain everytime she talks about how she feels. but of course, nothing i can do about the pain but to comfort her with sweet words and help her with the house chores. everytime she has her period, don't ever go across her path as this will surely put the house on fire. with the boil, you know, i always have one. what makes it more painful is when you have to sit on it.

Don't blame on yourself. Sometimes, people have one or two such moments. I would too, when I was sick. I was cranky, and I would order my mom do this and not to do this while she was taking good care of me. When I come to think about it, I felt extra guilty about what I said. You are not monster, you just having your bad moment.

I haven't experienced this just yet, but I'm sure that as my children get older I will. I think the best thing that we can do is try to keep our tempers under control. I would have my husband or another relative help out until I'm feeling a little better after some rest. And hopefully my husband could help out and straighten up the house. We all get frustrated and upset and our kids will learn that mommies do as well. They themselves through fits when they aren't feeling well so we can reason with them on how we feel when we are in pain.

So right i did reason it out to them why i was a "monster mom" last night and well, the kids did understand and even tho i am still very much in pain right now, i will try my best to control myself later.

I think you can ask help from your husband, ask him to play with the kids or take them out to give you some time to sleep. When I'm in the period I always have to sleep for sometime,it was really painful,I can't even talk to any of them.

I love children, but with my painful medical problems, I would probably be like you if I had them. I hate feeling cranky and mean, so when I notice it coming on I try to avoid situations that need me to be interactive. I try to sleep it off or stay to myself until I feel more appropriate.

I know someone who is a monster mom. Unfortunately she is my sister-in-law. She has a 2 year-old son who is very energetic and so playful. Well it was natural to every child to be frisky. So whenever her child did someting unwanted, she beat him. And it was so sad.
