horrible bosses - horrible bosses, jennifer anisten

My partner and I settled down into our usual Sunday evening routine of film watching this past weekend, and my lovely other half had managed to download horrible bosses with Jennifer Anisten. I was very excited as the wonderful Jennifer is one of my favourite actresses and was also a personal favourite in friends, and the friends character I’m apparently most common to according to my other half! .. Imagine my disappointment, when the film started, and I was to put it mildly, VERY unimpressed! .. the pace was slow, the humour slow, and Jennifer’s part wasn’t as big as I thought it could have been for having the lovely Ms. Anisten in the film! It was really quick to get to a point, and dispite the title of the film being “Horrible Bosses” .. there wasn’t really much to it other than the fact that they did indeed have, horrible bosses. But there was no point to it. So what? So their bosses were sexist, and nasty, and over looked them for promotions? And what? Hello!! Reality calling!! So.. with my finger hovering over the “Stop” botton.. I watched a little more. To my utter amazement the film soon did pick up the pace, and I found myself interested, waiting for what was to come next, and the humour got better and better as it went on.. I’m still not entirely sure if the slow humour pick up was intentional or not, or whether the beginning of the film was just somewhat lazy.. but in the end i quote enjoyed it. So, do other films pleasantly surprise you? And have films let you down in the past that you were dying to see? And what did anyone else think of this film?

Hi! So you've watched this film already! I didn't know this can already be downloaded! I'm searching for torrents now. Jennifer Aniston is also my favorite character in Friends! I really like her! I was disappointed when she and Brad Pitt broke up. Anyway, I didn't really expect her to have a huge part in this movie. I've seen in the trailer that she wouldn't be one of the major characters. The actors who played the bosses were just supporting roles. It's ironic actually because the lead characters weren't really popular. Still, I'm excited to see this film! It's not just Jen I'm excited to see, but also Colin Farrel.

I think that's the in thing now in many movies. Many superhero movies are like that. A not-so-known actor would play the lead role, the hero role and the villain would be the one who is popular, like in Superman Returns, Batman, Captain America, and so on. Yeah! I saw him in the trailer and he really looked funny! Make-up's really great!

YEAH IT CAN BE DOWNLOADED ON KICKASSTORRENTS :) sorry about the caps. i was disappointed she had such a small role, i mean collin farrel, jennifer anisten and kevin spacey as the minor aprts.. when who on earth were the main characters? i don't think i've ever even see them in a film before, or atleast not that i remember anyway so they couldn't have made that lasting an impression on me haha!! but Collin Farrel is such a laugh in it! looks totally different!

Yes but I don't want to mention it here. It might be unpleasant. I just fell boring all the night show.

I watched horrible bosses when it was at the cinema and really enjoyed it - in fact I thought ti would be good but, then enjoyed it more than I thought I would so I guess that is a bonus! One film myself and hubby once went to see and really hated was 'The Road' - oh my, it was dire! We wanted to walk out but, then got to a point that we had to know what happened so ended up watching it all and never again!! Haha

I actually saw this film about a month ago while on vacation in Salt Lake City, UT. I was surprised at how many people actually got up and left the theater. I think they thought the movie was way too vulgar. I actually enjoyed this movie. I think you have to be in the right frame of mind though. It was definitely silly and kind of pointless, but funny at the same time.

Well I haven't seen that movie yet and i do look forward to watching Jennifer Aniston in that movie. I am very picky when it comes to watching movies and i usually read the reviews on the papers before choosing what to watch. These are the things i consider in watching the movie: reviews, storyline, actors, director and cinematography.

I'm with Rafi on this one. When I started reading the review I was thinking to myself, 'what is she saying?', because I loved Horrible Bosses. I started douting myself and the choices I make in the types of movies that I watch and usually like. Insecurity started setting in and I started feeling the glares of the people around me. Staring at me, thinking to themselves he is ONE OF THEM!ONE OF THEM I TELL YOU!, one of the people that have ruined modern cinema by enjoying crude and dull movies that make no contirbution to the cinematic community. Cowering in my seat and feeling vey self-concious I whimpered to myself, 'but I think its entertaining'. Then I finished reading the review and all was well. PS. Charlie Day was hilarious in Horrible Bosses, one of the main reasons I wanted to watch the movie. He portrayed his character very well with the chemistry between him and Jennifer Aniston. However, I've only seen him do that kind of role like in Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia, but it suits him so well.

awk no i did think it was good.. i just think with such a good cast and fantastic storyline.. they could have done more with the plot and the humour, and really kick started it from the beginning instead of dragging it out soooooo long before anything half decent even happened.. i'm all for building up suspense, but not at the expense of almost turning it over lol!
