Guys, do you use a gel for your hair? I do too, but it’s in a form of a hair cuticle coat. It is a treatment by itself for all kinds of hair. I use it so that my hair will be shiny and healthy. It helps my hair to at least stay in place. A little drop can cover all my hair. I put it after I have shampooed and a bit dried my hair. I like the way it manages my hair. My husband also uses a gel for his hair. Though, he doesn’t want to, he has to, because their company told them to, for proper grooming. He said he can be well groomed even without it, but he has no choice but to comply.

I used to gel my hair before going out of the house when I was in high school until early college. Then, a friend (girl) of mine told me that I look better without the gel because it just made me look sweaty and oily. I did not obey her because I'm used to doing it and I felt that my hair was a total mess without it. I was wrong. Those gel just gave me dandruff and my friend is really correct that I look better without the gel. I slowly abandoned using gel. Then, I met my girlfriend. She also agrees that I look better without the gel. Since then, I am not using gel anymore except of my college graduation day. Today, I am comfortable without the gel. :D

You know what, that's how i felt when i touched my husband's hair with it. Hard and sticky. Very much unlike my hair cuticle coat. I prefer that guys just leave their hair as it is. But i am fascinated with those who has the tomahawk styles of hair that stands in the middle.

Yeah, gel is a big help when you want to express your fashion through your hair. Still, I don't recommend it for everyday use. :-P

Is that vitress you're referring to? I think it is. My wife uses it. I thought that it's just baby oil and I kept using it until the little bottle she bought was empty and she didn't even noticed the whole time. When she found out, she was furious because that thing is not baby oil, well now I know that it's a hair cuticle coat and it not cheap. Well, she bought another one and I can't seem to find where it is hidden. So I'm forced to buy my own hair gel.

Yes, it's vitress and i think it could be used by men too. It is lighter than those gels for men. So now, your wife hides her Vitress from you.

Yes, that' what i use too. I used to use the version of Hortaleza but i find it too sticky, unlike vitress as you have mentioned. I guess, that's what we call the crew cut. According to my husband they are made to use gel, so that their hair will always appear wet, like newly bathed.

I'm not really fond of using gels but sometimes on rare occasion i use hair cream for that wet look, especially now that i'm sporting a permed hair. I don't want anything heavy on my hair. Even though expensive products claim that it doesn't make ones hair heavy, i still feel uncomfortable. I'm only obsessed with hair treatments, like hair spa, hair wax and reborn thing but i don't put anything on my hair.

Keep it that way Toni. I am now so used with the hair cuticle coat. Though, i just put drops in my palm and spread them over my hair only. It's not heavy on the hair.
