Oh, I see you from China, and from several news, I know that government of China had blocked access to Facebook and Twitter I think you still can access Facebook via anonymous proxy. There're plenty of websites that provide this free service, like http://zend2.com/ , http://vectroproxy.com/ , or http://kproxy.com/ Sometimes I am using it to bypassing my college's proxy, so I can access Facebook even it is being blocked But in your country, it is your government that blocked the access. So it may be illegal to access Facebook from your country Isn't it a bit risky to do so?

Thank you for your help. I do not think it is risk for me to have a facebook account. I think as a humanbeing, I should have the right to do anything I like while do no harm to others. The government do not have the right to make choice for me. And the government is illegal, for we do not select it.

Thank your for your advice. I know you are right, that is the very reason for me to ask the problems here, not in a Chinese website. Our government is abnormal. They think they are right all the time, and can not accept any suggestion from people. And if they think you are against them, they will make disappear forever. But I think reign of terror can not last for a long time, China must have a outcome as Soviet Union.

OK then, I couldn't agree more :D I hope for your best :D Just be careful, not to share anything that may make your government mad, I think. Because I heard from the news, your government are somewhat really strict..

In my view, "climbing the wall" is one of the basic skills for Chinese netizens. As we Chinese all know, some websites have been blocked in China for many information they offer are not welcome by the government. If you wanna visit those websites. I think Tor is a good tool to help you climb the wall. You could search and download this software by emule, then install it following the instructions.

I know "climbing the wall" is one of the basic skills for Chinese netizens. But in fact, I do not have it. I try to find out the way to do it, but I can not get enough information from Chinese website, while people around me has never realize they are limited by the government here. So I have no one to ask. I still remember, several years ago, I can get some forbidden information from emule, but now many emule sources are close down, and we become blind, and can only get information from CCTV.

If you don't know how to "climb the wall", I'm afraid you only have one way to avoid "blind". Since you are able to read and write posts in mylot, why not visit English webistes such as BBC and CNN. We should be grateful to the government for they don't block those English websites.

I am also a Chinese, so I understand your situation very well. You are right that we can't access to some websites like Twitter, Youtube and Facebook. But there are still some ways to go across our Great Firewall. First, you shall use the Firefox as your browser. Then you shall download a software called Myentunnel. Try to find a free account via the net. You can find many relevant information online. This is how I can visit the banned websites. Good luck! I love China

That is strange.. Where are you from? Not sure if the government would do that. Talk to your internet provider they should know.. If not try using a proxy website to get on Facebook. There are many, they are slower than a regular connection but still work.

I am from China. Everyone now says the government do that. They are quite nervous about things happen in Mid East will happen here. So to make sure that people can not connect with each other out of their control, they choose not let us have the modern way of life.
