Finally, the govt. seems to have bowed a bit to Anna. They have just sent out a letter to Anna to permit the bill to be discussed in parliament. Of course, their bill will be withdrawn and a more stronger Lokpal would come into play. But, the govt. has also put in a catch that they will not directly look to pass the Jan Lokpal bill but would discuss the three key points raised by Anna. Let's hope that Anna now calls off the fast and the Govt. follows through on the Lokpal bill. Cheers! Ram

ram - There appears to be no indication of Anna Hasare withdrawing his fast. This I am telling based on news paper reports. I wish he withdraws and takes care of his health. I will rate the impact made by him next to that of Jayaprakash Narayan in 1970s.

The govt. sadly has again gone back on its words. It seems to be a real flip flop government. It is really sad that when one person is fighting for his life and this govt. is playing all kinds of games!! Cheers! Ram

Unfortunately, I do not think all the provisions of Jan Lokpal will be accepted. I think it is important for Anna to break his fast now as otherwise his life would be at stake now. I think the Govt. has made a huge concession and now it is to move forward collaboratively. Cheers! Ram

No I think there are three key points that Anna wants addressed. He is ok with a change in the other points. I think the key point that Congress is against bringing PM under the purview of Lokpal. Cheers! Ram

There are so many allegations of corruption against the present government that it has been compelled to give in ultimately to Anna Hazare. It had otherwise no other alternative.

The government suddenly seems to have done a U-Turn again. This is really getting ridiculous. Is there no conscience to this govt.? Cheers! Ram
