I was sleeping so good last night and this morning and knowing we live here in Texas where we have had over 60 days of triple heat temps and no rain!! Well anyway I thought it was my husband snoring because he snores so loud it woke me up and come to find out it was thundering and lighting outside with a little bit of rain!! He he he and at the same time it thundered he snored right along with the thunder sound and it was kinda trippy!!! L.O.L.

I can sympathize with you as my boyfriend can snore through thunder too. I can see how we confuse the thunder sounds as really they actually do sound the same.

I have camped and shared a room with people who snore and it drives me nuts. I guess in time you get used to it?? but I have heard of couples having a tough time with it. One of my friends husbands wears ear plugs then he can't hear the alarm in the morning..

It does seem funny. Did you record it? Maybe you could cut and album and make lots of money. 
You could call the album Storming Snores. Get some dolphins to be his back up. Oh then you could call the album Storming Snores and the Dolphin Dynasty. I'm beginning to think this could be a best seller. Please tell me you recorded it. We could be rich, rich, rich.

Yes, I do think that it is funny. I do not like being woken up by snoring, but I definitely prefer it to being woken up by thunder and lightening. I do not like thunderstorms, and for some reason they always seem a lot worse at night - probably because it is a lot easier to see the lightening and things tend to be quieter so the sound from the thunder seems louder as well.
I know that you needed rain, though, so it was a good thing.

Thanks to start this discussion because I not know the English word for it. I tell the voice like grrrrrrrrr grrrrrrrr grrrrrr haa.... yeserday my husband was also doing such voice and breaks my sleep and I tell him hello my dear what is this grrrrrrrr grrrrrr they tell me ohh my sweet heart I not know I was doing such voice okkk not sleep then we sleep again both...h ahha...

jaher: this may be the situation in most of the families. each one complains or remarks about the snoring of the other. It happens in our case also. I have seen when I realise I am snoring I wake up. Interesting and enjoyable for others.

Hahh...very funny for fanta and today fanta read here a discussion about snoring in bus danger. Your husband has same habit snoring but yes in the rainy season it may be happen. But everytime snoring means no sleeping of other person.

This would be a little interesting. Too bad you did not record it so he could could see it like from your Phone, or a camera or something. I have heard about your horrible Hot summer, and we here in WA would not want to trade you. We had an extremely wetter than normal Summer here in WA until the last 2 weeks or so.

Yes, that is funny to me especially since you have not heard thunder or rain very a long time. Yes, men who snore can sound like the rain. I know one guy who sounded like 3 stooges he kinda whistle while he snored. I think I like whistling and breathing out of his lips better than actually snoring sound and easier to sleep too. He did not do for long and seem to catch himself and stop for while etc....

he he he. That is a family consequence. When you decide to married him, maybe you forgot to ask him, Are you snoring ? If you do not ask about that, believe me, snore is not a big deal for you. Just see your husband face while snoring, and smile and say in your mind, How handsome my husband :)
