Would you like to be an Xbox 360 Avatar instead?

avatar: a better version of yourself - xbox avatars for yourself

The kids were playing the xbox, when I decided to join them. Apparently, I have to create my own avatar to be able to save some of my games. So instead of playing with them right away, I spent a good chunk of time making and deciding my own avatar. As I was making 'myself', I realized that there were a lot of choices to be made. What name I should call myself, do I want to be tall, do I want to be skinny, do I want facial hair, what kind of clothes should I be wearing, etc. As I was doing this, I can't help but think that maybe I was making a better version of myself in xbox. My avatar turned out to be a lot healthier-looking, handsome (if I say so myself), and I was even wearing better clothes. Maybe that's what I want to be in real life?! Now, for all the myLotters out there who have had the chance to make avatars for games, did you make a better version of yourself? How did it turn out? For the rest, who have not had the chance, would you like to? Would you like to make a better version of yourself? Even if it's just virtual?

Ready for the sappiest, most disgustingly sweet answer? My guy has made me a better version of Sarah. Before him , I would have made an avatar the complete opposite of myself. But he Sees me and loves me As Is. so I don't have a desire to change! He loves every curve! So no I am Finally the Sarah I always wanted to be! See, I told you it is a sappy response. Sorry

Awww! I like sappy! Nothing to apologize for! Truly, the saying '(inner) beauty is in the eyes of the beholder', rings true for your guy Sarah. And that is sweet! Thanks.

Yes I have created Avatars in other sites as well as gaming sites before. I make all of mine I use here and though it does not look like me there is something about the Wendy"s Girl "sweetness" that reminds me of me. I am blonde with red streaks, but lot of hair like Wendy. I don't have freckles, but I am always smiling no matter what life is like. Because of size constraints here I could not make the clothes bigger. lol I have made three since I have been here and made them depending on my mood. The first one I was crying all the time, because when I first signed up here I was crying all the time, lol lots of offline issues. Though the issues are not necessarily gone I feel a tad better so I made this last one in a more cheerful way.

I do mine on my Corel Photoshop application. I am almost sure you can find a few free ones online but you have to be good at drawing to re-create it. Mine for instance is only 3 frames, yours is one. My first one was 27 frames. lol

Thank you but I know that it was free with Mylot I believe. Wish that I could remember . I may get time to look back at my early posts as the person advised me on Mylot. 27 frames! No, I am not that tech savvy so I will stick with one

Well, I have played many games over time that you have had to design and cloth your own Avatar. I have played games on the WII, Facebook and even my Computer where I have had to do this. Many times there will be better clothes that you have only wished you could own, and you can design yourself to be skinny, etc. Often this could lead to misconceptions if you let them but I guess also a time to make yourself look and feel different for a time as well.

I think if you are also good in whatever game you're playing, then you also deserve an avatar that also looks and feels good. And better dressed too! Thanks.

I don't believe for a moment that your avatar was more handsome than the real thing

I actually do have an xbox avatar..lol. I have dressed her in a way that I don't dress at all. I can't get her to look like me but she s close. My b/f has one that looks just like him though..I can't help but laugh everytime I see it.

I too laugh when I see my kid's avatars. Although it is close, and looks like them a little bit, the kids tend to put funny clothes on them. Thanks Jen.
