My mother was diagnosed of having kidney stones. It's really painful at times, giving her sudden feeling of uneasiness and depriving her the joy of eating what she wants because of a strict diet. As of now she's taking Acalka because it was prescribed by the doctor but as much as possible she also wants herbal medicine for option. There's a lot of recommendations available in the net but which is better or possibly the best in your opinion?....probably based from your experience if ever? Thank you very much! ^_^

Your mother makes acid stone. This is nothing to fool around with because Uric acid can also cause gout which messes with other parts of the body. She needs to take her meds and watch her diet very carefully. Many herbs can exacerbate her problem. So, they should be avoided. I make calcium stones which is bad for someone who also has osteoporosis. I cannot take the calcium supplements that I need to protect my bones. We all have our problems and must deal with them even if it is life changing. Your job is to give her support.
