Some people say local brand make up that are cheap has low quality. Here in the Philippines, there are a lot of local brand make up like Ever Bilena, Nichido, Careline, Fanny Serrano Makeup, San san and a lot more. But I did tried some local cosmetics and the quality is really good. I tried Nichido and it is really good. I like imported makeup since I've been receiving it for free from my aunt in the states. But somehow this local brand is better than the imported ones. What make up brands do you use? Do you use local brands of makeup. Kindly share your thoughts on this.

I use a mixture of any brands available in the market. Our local makeup brands are as good as those imported ones but people always feel that local makeup are inferior in quality. More expensive brands from overseas does not necessarily mean it is good as it all depends whether these makeup are compatible with our Asian skin.

Yes It doesn't necessarily mean that we aren't allergic to the chemicals or elements or ingredients of the imported brands. Though its good to carry some imported brands if you just want to show off.

Hello there chiwasaki! I use combinations of make up. I have two eyeliners, one is San San and the other is Nichido. My listick is Ever Bilena and my ligloss is Maybelline. My foundation is a Sophie Paris foundation. I don't really stick to just one brand. As you can see, I use more of the local brands than the foreign ones. I like any cosmetic, as long as it won't cause irritation or bumps on my skin. Some cosmetics really have adverse effects on me, and those I stated above don't have any.

Hi mabel! I also use different brands of makeup but I'm particularly satisfied with Nichido. I like their eyeliners, loose powder and cream blush on. For foundation and lipstick, I use maybelline smooth mineral and maybelline water shine. For eyeshadows, it is really hard to pick since there's a lot of good ones.

Hi chiwasaki! I don't put on make up much. I do have a make-up kit but I'm not sure if it's a local brand or not. It says the brand is Aipeizhi. I bought from Robinson's Department Store, I think. I wasn't very particular about the brand then, I just wanted something complete. It has different colors of eyeshadow, with a blush on and two colors of foundation. Of course it has a mirror. For lipstick and lipglosses and eyeliners, I buy Avon. And for face powder, I buy Careline. I'm not very particular if the make-up is locally made or not. But I admit that I usually buy those that are popular (like Avon and Careline). I even have mascara of Maybelline.

I am also using imported make up because they last longer. I tried Nichido and avon, I have not tried fanny serrano lines yet, but maybe it is good. I look after quality in make up because I have sensitive skin. I am not particular with eye shadows, eye liners or lipstick. I choose the quality of the foundation and powder I use.

I'm a guy so I'm not suppose to answer this but I'm also the one buying make-up for my wife and the brands that she like are Nichido and San San. She says that its a better substitute for those very expensive brand of make-up. I'm not complaining though, even though some of the local make-up brands are still expensive, it's way cheaper than the imported ones and my wife says that the quality is really good.
