Go back to same place?

Last year I applied and got selected at a company and just when I was about to join, I got offer from another company. So I joined the second one (it just seemed more better company), and I did not show up at the first one! I did not speak to the HR or offer any explanations and did not attend their calls either. Coz I just didn't know what to say. Now I want to leave my current company, as there is no growth here. Is it a good idea to go back to the other company after ditching them one year back?

I think it would be better if you find another company to apply and not go back to that company. Not even bothering to answer their calls may have been noted on your resume and got you in their rejected file. But then, if your resume is strong and have nice job experiences to boast, then maybe they could reconsider you.
