Sometimes I wonder how things would be different for me if I was Black or White or Hispanic. Did you ever think of that stuff?

I was born white but I have pondered this very question many times! I know we are all human and in the end race is only genetic, but still there are differences between the races that make the experience of being a different race quite interesting. For example, Hispanics have different food from white people. Growing up in that environment would have been very interesting. :) However let me expand the question: what would it be like to be of a different race in a different time period? Today there is not a lot of cultural difference between races - computers, cars and the internet are all universal. However before the modern era there were many cultural differences. I think it would have been interesting to be a Native American before white Europeans entered the picture. It have also been interesting to be Asian or a Medieval European before significant contact between the two continents happened. There are so many possibilities! But here we are now, stuck in the race in which we were born. I don't mind being white - I do like to wonder about the "what if's" though. :)

I was born as Asian, and I live in the middle of Asian community. There rarely White, Black, Hispanic, or so around me. So, I guess if I was White, Black, Hispanic, or so and staying in this community, I think my life would be much different Anyway, different race means different culture, different lifestyle. It wouldn't be "me" if I am at different race!
