on banned members

I came upon a post asking about the whereabouts of many of her friends here on Mylot. It appears that these friends of hers could be banned from this site for probably violating certain rules. I have a question though regarding banned members since I have come across a couple of posts talking about being banned and how they have managed to come back. Are banned members free to talk about their having been banned without being banned again after Mylot admin finds out that they had already been banned? Or is Mylot cool about these banned members coming back as different users so long as they behave this time? What do you think?

If a person that had his or her account suspended comes back as a new user and tries not to make the same mistakes that he or she made in the past, then I believe that it is alright for him or her to admit that their old account was suspended. Of course, I think that it might also depend upon the reason that the account was suspended as I think that some offenses are more serious than others. However, if the person is really sorry and tries to do the right thing, then I believe that he or she can help out other members by sharing his or her personal experiences so that other members take things seriously and do not make the same mistakes.

My thoughts are that if a member is suspended they perhaps can come back. It would always be wise to sign up as a new user and not immediately participate. But go to admin and friend request and in private they should ask if okay to come back. When a member is "banned" then that would be different. If they are not allowed to come back I am sure Admin has the ability to track and can re-suspend and or re-banned again. This is just based on what I have seen here and not entirely on what I was told.
If allowed to come back I am sure it is okay to say they were here before and or say why they were no longer allowed to be here. However, I am sure that what takes place in pms by admin and a member is and should be private.
