i just wanted to share my views on the guitar, specifically the acoustic guitar and why it's so awesome! Guitar's has a melodic and sweet sound which reverberates from the strings and the hollow interior of the wood. This sounds can be made into a higher and lower pitch depending on what string you play and which finger your fret is in depending on those strings. Frets are basically the lines on the guitar which makes the sound of each string differ when your finger is placed in a different fret. acoustic guitars have 6 strings, the highest string being the lowest pitch and creating the most "hollow" sound and the lowest string is the highest pitch creating the sharp sound, lime that of a ringing bell. The further you practice, the more skilled you will get. i am currently learning songs like rylynn and drifting by andy mckee now (For those guitar players reading this, you should check out these songs on youtube!) . They're beautiful songs. If any of you guys are finding a hobby, a guitar would fit perfectly into it if you are musical inclined. now, i have a question for you. What is your favourite instrument and tell me more about it. for those of you already playing the guitar, what songs are you learning? (maybe i could check them out) :)

It has been ages since I held a guitar again. Sadly, my guitar only sat lurking in my room due to inactive use. I was once an addict in trying to learn on how to play it. I knew a couple of songs but is still in beginner stage. I just tried to learn it to score points on girls during my teenage years. Now, I think I almost forgot how to play the guitar but I still know the basic chords. I just forgot about the scales. Well, to answer your question, I would say I love the guitar as a musical instrument since I was able to learn playing it. However, if I had an instrument that I would like to learn on how to play, it would be the drums. I like hitting and tapping on beats whenever I hear great songs. But maybe I should just try to learn how to play the triangle. I am just curious on how to play that kind of instrument!

HAHA, "score points on girls"... that was funny. good use of a guitar :) anyway, drums are cool too! im in band, yes, i joined band in high school frm athletics. lol, i got bored of running competitions and rather join a team-based CCA. anyways, the drums are the skeleton of the music we play and adds a lot of life to it. Without the drums, what we play just is not complete. But it does take a lot of skill to play the drums, as the drum set has a lot of components to it and one may get confused between each componenent and the sound it makes :P

Yep, girls and chicks dig the guitarist. Especially playing those sentimental and heart warming cheesy music. Yes, drums do add a spunk with the music and makes it more lively and alive. Good thing you know your music because you have a band. I always thought of being in a band but I really don't have the time to practice my guitar skills and no time even to do jamming sessions. Maybe I'll just do some Rockband thing or those drum games in the amusement and arcade areas of malls.

I love to play piano. I know a little about guitar but don't play it because it cause so much much pain to my fingers. I love piano because it's been a part of me. I play piano at church. It is so nice to hear. I love to play arpeggio.

your fingers will get used to it after a while. give it a few days... i can play it for hours and my fingers would'nt hurt. that is, after weeks of practice (just gotten my guitar about a month back or so). i love the piano too! even though i don't play it, i have friends that do play it. even my school has pianos scattered around, so i will surely hear it everyday echoing through the canteen. at first i thought pianos were only capable of playing boring and slow songs, but it was dashed when i heard the songs which my friends played. he played a few of the pop songs on the piano. Such an entertaining and interesting instrument. :D

Many people enjoy playing the guitar very much. For me, my favorite musical instrument is the harp. I don't play it, but, I like the sound of harp very much. Very beautiful and very enchanting. I have been dreaming of learning how to play the harp, but have not got around to it yet. Hopefully, some day soon !
