I wish I could attach the photo here but I'm using iPad so I couldn't do that at all! But anyway, the wedding pushed through last Saturday despite of the typhoon and it went fine. The bride was late for more than an hour and we were there on the dot! We couldn't complain anyway because we are not the bride! So my husband's relatives came exactly on time and I was introduced by my husband to one distant relative whom I've never met before. To my surprise she greeted me best wishes! Well what do I have to say? She mistook me as the bride. I was wearing this long sheer dress and had my hair in a bun with Swarovski crystal accessories on my head! Th bride came in fuchsia mini dress that was very casual, she looks like she's just going to a birthday party and she wore a nude gladiator high heeled shoes! Now who can blame the guests in mistaking me as a bride?

Hi toni! It is heartening to hear that marriage went off peacefully despite some inclement weather. Hope bride and bridegroom will live a happy married life. Our blessings and best wishes to them.

Well i hope so too and hope they made the right decision in getting married not because she's pregnant but because they love each other. Good luck to them as well.

Haha Toni no one could blame that relative for mistaking you as the bride. Fair enough you weren’t wearing a wedding dress, but the fact you had a long dress on, hair up, and little crystals in your hair.. they are the traditional ways of a bride. Long, virginal dress, hair up, and a bit of glam.. I just don’t understand the whole pink dress thing at all.. is the girl very young??

She's thirty! The dress was very casual, it was more like of an office dress rather than a wedding dress and she had her hair down like she's just going to birthday party or go shopping.

oh no no! not cool. brides need elegent one of a kind dresses! and i think a bride should always have her hair up! or atleast have something on her head like a tiara or something!

Is that a church wedding or a civil wedding? If a church wedding, I find it quite unusual to see a bride in casual fuschia mini dress. At any rate, maybe the bride does not really think white is for her for some reasons. As for me I always want to see the bride in white in whatever kind of wedding. White is the symbol of purity so if a bride feels she is pure then she must wear white. However I've seen weddings where brides opt to wear their favorite color instead. Well it depends on the bride's choice actually. Anyway! my best wishes and congratulations to the newly weds!

I don't have problems with whatever color a bride wears on their wedding, be it white, black or orange. They should just make sure it suits them and they would still look like a bride and not an office worker.

Oh so the wedding appropriateness is not considered? So if you're the bride, it would be ok for you if one of the guests would be better dressed than you in your own wedding day and would steal your moment? To a woman, her wedding day is the most important of all and they would do everything to look perfect not only for their groom but for the guests who would remember that wedding day as well! Comfort and convenience is out of the question at all.

Well, it seems that the bride didn't know how to dress for the ocassion. But you have certainly more experience how to dress in such events. You would had tought her the kind of dress to wear.
