Health news: "Brain-eating amoeba"

Have you heard about brain-eating amoeba? I saw some news in the internet about this kind of organism that kills people, the organism called Naegleria Fowleri that enters through your nose and goes to your brain. The organism lives in warm fresh water (lakes,rivers,hot spring).

Amoeba live in water so how do they get in your nose unless you are swimming? And as far as I know, there isn't a direct route from the nose to the brain.
Amoeba are known to cause stomach upsets but mostly the body's immune system kills them off before they get much further.

This type of amoeba is different it lives only on fresh water,it gets into your nose when you are swimming and travels through the tissues in your nose up to your brain.
