how to cope with insomnia?

one or two weeks to sleep very little. I want to sleep more because when I'm in my little sleep sucks. is friends you suffer from insomnia and you know how to remove it. Thanks and nice day!

My insomnia rooted from worries because I used to think a lot. I learned how to focus though and I tried to quiet my mind by listening to soft musics or instrumental. I love listening to Enya and it makes me fall asleep. Another way is I read. If listening to music would not help, I try to get my mind or body soooo tired that I would just fall asleep when my back hits the bed. I noticed that an intake of ferrous sulfate also helps. Also, I took green barley as supplement. Hope you'll be able to find cure for your insomnia.

Hi nezavisima, suffering from insomnia is very awful. Water therapy can relieve you from this suffering. Drink sufficient water every day. At least you have to drink eight glasses of water a day. You can also have several cups of cocoa. Don't take any stress. Don't be idle. Do some physical work. I think these will help you to get rid of insomnia.

I have a couple of things I do. One I just lay in bed and do some deep breathing to calm myself. Another is I get up and have something warm to drink, even warm water will help. Or I watch the TV and often I can drift off that way. If It is really bad, I take an over the counter medication, but I hate to do that I never seem to sleep well and am often hungover the next day if I do.

to this is also good medicine. Sometimes I am convinced that man can not sleep so many factors that must not ignore. must be able to enjoy the dream. Thanks for the reply and nice day!

The first thing to do would be to try and figure out what is keeping you awake. Are you stressed, sick, etc? Depending on what is keeping you awake, you can take some steps to fix those problems. If it is stress keeping you awake, I have read that writing down your problems in a journal is a way to help get your mind of the problems so that you can sleep. Also, don't try to sleep when you're not tired yet. You should listen to some calming music and read a book. Turn off all electronics! You can take sleeping pills, but I don't really like to take pills. I hope this helps!

Alot of people seem to not be able to sleep at night and stay up at night just thinking or just watching TV not being able to fall asleep at all. I couldnt fall alseep either and used to just think about different things at night and it was like my brain was on overload and it was really bad. Now i take a full medicine cup every night of benedryl to get myself to go to sleep at night. My boyfriend stays up till around 4 AM not being able to sleep and he does take two different or even some night three different over the counter PM medicines to be able to go to sleep. It takes him a while to get to sleep and im not sure why but i have told him to just shut off the TV but then he is on his phone and he doesnt seem like he can do either of them.

Well, my remedy for insomnia is to work my self tired, in that way I am not only making advantage of my insomnia, I can do things, maybe earn a little. If your brain does want to sleep then let it be, but sooner or later, your brain will shut off and you will off to sleep.
