Mascherano : Thanks, Messi

Barcelona midfielder, Javier Mascherano, thanked his teammates in the Argentine national team and Barcelona, Lionel Messi, who persuaded him close to the Camp Nou.
Mascherano join the giant club , Barcelona at the beginning of the 2010 season. His position is often alternated, even more often placed as a central defender, but he gets a chance to fairly routine performed with Barca.
In his first season after leaving Liverpool, Mascherano immediately felt the joy of lifting the trophy La Liga and Champions League.

I think that for such a world class player like Mascherano it isn't any problem to change his position,he can play very well in both position because he's a integrated in a team that functions like a very precise mechanism,so it looks like playing central defender didn't affect him and the team at all,on the contrary they had a great start in the new season and they will probably continue this way.

I think that he makes a great job, but when Puyol will be fit and if Pique stays fit, then this two will build the central defense in the Barcelona team. But I guess Pep knows better how to put his players on the field and who to put on the field. As for Mascherano, I think he made a good decision to sign for Barcelona, as he is now part of the probably best team in the history of club football. And which football player wouldn't want to be an important part of a team like this?

I think Mascherano's position is more because of need than choice. With Puyol aging and injuries, there was a hole in the Central defense. And Pep Guardiola asked him to slot into that position. For Mascherano that was one of the ways to break into the strong Barcelona side as the midfield is so strong that often times he was finding himself on the bench otherwise. So in case it was the need of both club and player that got him into this position. But I am not sure if he really likes this position, but so far he has not complained.

yes, Pep change Masherano position because pep had to do it..
Because pep had many options in position of Defender Midfielder..
he had Keyta, Busquet and Tiago Alcantara as reserve for Xavi and Iniesta...
And now Cesc come too...so he had many options...
it`s different in central defender...
Barca had sold Gabriel Milito....
