Three "Weathers" in 30minutes

It was a really weird weather. Four days ago, I was about to go to work when it suddenly rained. I had no choice but to wear my jacket, put the hood on and run to the tricycle parking area. Our office is just 30mins away from where I stay (15mins tryk, 15mins walk), and I was running late at that time. So I got on the tricycle and when I got off, the rain stopped. 15mins away from home, no rain, still dark but really humid. I had to remove my jacket since the sun suddenly appeared and it was instantly too hot. Just as I was about to enter our building, it was dark again so I hurried inside, got on the elevator, logged-in (got 5mins to spare) and went directly to my station. It was not even a minute that I got to sit when suddenly, *BOOM!*, a thunder followed by the howling of the wind and rain poured heavily. I can see the trees outside swaying, slanting almost 30 degrees at an angle from the ground. I felt so relieved that I got in just in time before the heavy rain and also felt a little nervous thinking what could have happened if I didn't. Have you got any close calls with the weather?

Sem, it's a sign! Better start dieting and lose some fats because the gods of weather ain't liking what they are seeing. Haven't experienced that though. Only rain and then sunshine within a span of few minutes just like last Sunday. Got wet while I was taking up all the clothes from the clothesline and when I finished taking them all, I was soaking wet and a little cold, and then the sun came up and it was warm. Very bad.

Borrowing a phrase from Regis - "I like my belly, thank you. In fact I might even add some more to it...:" Well at least you have a clothesline where you can hang your clothes to dry. My clothes seem to have never seen daylight unless I wear them. One if the things I miss in the province... :(

Weh. Regis is fiction, no matter how large his belly gets, it's no problem for him. How do you dry your clothes then? Don't they smell bad?

I use fabric conditioner (Downy, the red one :D) so it doesn't smell bad. Well, for some of my clothes anyway. The rest, I have the laundry shop do that for me ;-)

Here in England we have very changeable weather like four seasons in one day. August was cool and rainy with only two hot days. Now it is autumn it is glorious sunshine. Early September is turning out very nice indeed. I don't like it when rains falls and it is not possible to put a rain cover over my disabled son's wheelchair.

That's what I was saying to a friend of mine here. The weather here this summer is pretty unusual , changing day-to-day. Hot one day, cold the next day, sunny one day, cloudy and stormy the next day. One has to be prepared for all kinds of conditions, temperature, humidity, rain, storm, visibility, and so on.

We were also discussing it at work and most of us agreed that it was not like this 5 or 10 years ago. It really takes a toll on your efficiency especially for those who are used to routines like me.

Good thing to see a discussion from you. It's been a while since you had one. I may say that you are very lucky that day. Good thing that you're already at the office when the rain poured or else you could have been late. Always bring a jacket AND umbrella because these days the weather is really unpredictable. Take care always.

"It's been a while...?" is an understatement...this is the first one actually! I already bought an umbrella and we just got a new jacket from IBM so...oh I know, too bad you were not able to get one before you left since we had it just yesterday. Sadly I won't be there tomorrow for CP's big day, you know, work :( but I'll be with you all in spirit ^^

Hello jsumbing, Ha Ha wow crazy weather huh, In NY we experience all the seasons in one day, I guess it has to do with global warming. In the afternoon its hot in the evening it gets warm and cool and at nigh it's cold. Keep in mind it's summer right now so it's been like this for months I only had a few summer hot days these year.

Our weather nowadays is really unstable. You are absolutely right. Now, it is not impossible to have a different shift of weather within the span of 30 minutes. It is really bothersome. You thought at first that is sunny and you just walk outside in your house then suddenly a heavy rain will suddenly pour. Thinking of the fast pace weather nowadays are really scary. You can say that there is really a problem in our world now.

Scary indeed...all we can do is to prepare for it. Now I just bought 2 new umbrellas, one I left in the office and the other one I bring with me.

Hi, jsumbing. Welcome to myLot! No, the weather was not as the close call as the one that you have experienced. Last month, me and my two kids went to visit the mall, and it was raining outside while we was getting on and off of the city bus. I did not bring an umbrella on that day, so we all had to take a chance at getting on the bus as fast as we could. We ran into some rainy and messy weather on that day, I must say! I am so glad that you have made it safe and sound at your job. You made it just in time! Stay safe and take care of yourself.
