I think it is not harmful to the society,in every angle I think there is no harm. It's just about flaunting beauty, intelligence and talent. I just find it beautiful, voluptuous and amazing!

I cannot see any harm with beauty contest, i haven't also heard any bad news from it. Here also in our country, a beauty contest is done annually in country, region, town and even to smallest district here. The contest is purely entertainment and battle for beauties and brain. Did you have any bad experience from it? This contest is very traditional and done all over the world.

I grew up joining pageants and I don't think it has a harm on the society. As a child, I always wanted to walk on the isle and be among those girls chosen to compete. For young girls, it gives a sense of pride to be partnered with the term bright and beautiful. For the society, it gives a particular place or country a pride too whenever a girl from their place won an award. I think it does not harm the society since a pageant does not tolerate anything that can degrade women. Even though pageants include a swimwear portion, that too is not seen in a malicious manner. I even think that beauty pageant winners become idols to young girls on how to be prim and proper. They become ambassadresses of their own town or country. I don't think it is bad.

Beauty Contest are harmful for society because they make others feel bad about themselves. By giving all of the 3 billion viewers bad thoughts you making society worse. It may be good for the winner but the rest suffer.
