GAY, SHORT, TALL, MALE, FEMALE, REILIGON, AND ETC. I know most of my my lot friends know I took the drivers test 3 times and failed each time. Now the reason I was failed the first 2 times is understandable but the last time was not in my point of view and many agree. I did everythi right on the first try and everything and then when i took my hand one my hands off the wheel failed. Which I thought was stupid. What person in this world always drives with 2 hands people smoke and before, pele use to talk on the phone. People change the music on or mess with there GPS or w.e and most of the time it's just one hand period. So in point of view the man who failed me last time was because of discrimination. It might be because I'm gay and I look Gay. Maybe because I'm Spanish and he thinks I'm some immigrat and I'm not from this country. it can be all these things. Maybe I did everything on my first try and he just wanted to fail because I got aheadin line by there manager 3 times in 2 weeks. So.. To me this is not fair.. And is call discrimination I'm not sure who to talk to who to contact. Right now I'm very upset and don't know what to do.. I have to start all over .. And that's something I'm not looking forward to.I'm sure there is a point system in the drivers road test. Me taking my hand one of my hands off can't be a automatic fail. Can't be true doesn't sound right or factiual information or actions

Hello payout! I'm sorry to hear about that news. I think i missed that discussion about you failing the third time as i've been away from mylot and haven't been active lately. Since I'm not from that country, I couldn't suggest anything to you on what actions you could take regarding that. If you feel you have been discriminated against then i feel you. All i could give you is my sympathy and i would like to encourage you to take necessary actions you think is proper to fight for your right!

Hey Toni, I'm not sure if you did one nor either, but yeah I'm very upset about it and I will do all that needs to be done to get this problem solved and action I hope will be taken if not I will have to legal action and which I'm sure they won't like. I might be one person but I have a voice and I will speak up loud and clear to protect my self and others. On what I believe is correct.

I do believe it is discrimination, i mean if it was (in the instructors standards) a normal person then he would have let it pass by. There are some minor mistakes that they usually let pass by as long as you notice it but i do find it really mean that he failed you for that. The first times of course if you did do something wrong ok, but after a while if you do everything right and they find something minor just to give an excuse to fail you then that is, like i said before, mean and discriminating.

hey absinto, yeah, I did everything right and it wasnt like I had no control of the vehicle I did if i didnt then I understand completely but if I did everything right the first time then why would I be failed for that reason when. If that is a minor reason like you said. Overall I think any examiner would of pass me, he would pass himself if he was in that situation. yeah I agree Discrimination. I think for me being push in line and not waiting like most people I took it 3 times in 2 week. it has to be that.

I don't know how you can be Spanish if you not a citizen of Spain, it probably is not the reason you are targeted for discrimination. If the tester think you are an immigrant and is a gay, then may be he will deduct some points from your test score to justify his discrimination on homosexual and immigrant base on ignorence and personal biase. In many cases, government officials can discriminate base on 'twisted and hateful' official policy like the case of "No ask, No tell" policy adopted by Pentagon on enlisted soldiers. It is just unfair and i am sure you need to do some homework to see whether you can appeal on your driver test to a higher authority or file a complaint or even a lawsuit with the court if you can prove that you are being discriminated by the tester base on his racial ignorence and biase.

Hey lam par, I contact the high pele they are emailing me back and forth. I know it was hard to prove discrimination but I know for a fact that that's what it was and it doesn't matter if it was base on gay or if I'm Spanish. Well yeah.... Either way it's wrong it doesn't matter they can put anything on the test. For any reason to fail me what so ever. But I'm going to make sure something gets done.

@ the DMV, we pay $25 to start the process and take the test if and after you pass the test you take a road test and, because you pass the first test they give us a permit a temporally DL learners Permit is what they call it. they Expire in 60 days and you can only renew it once. they knew my situation. not only did they knew my situation the man was extremely being strict on me and what I thought was crazy that I failed the whole test for one reason and one reason only. because I took my hand off a couple of times. IM sure there is a point system. So to me maybe they just want to bring the DMV more income and make peoples lives miserable. Or maybe they did like me which I didnt give them a reason to not like me.

I am a little confused here. You said the person failed you, because you took one hand off the wheel once or twice. Are you sure that was the only mistake that you made? In one of the responses, I read where you said the examiner didn't even tell you whether you passed or failed ... you heard him telling his co-worker. If he didn't talk with you, then how do you know the reason that you failed? Also, what were you doing with your hand when you took it off the wheel? That might sound like a silly question, but it isn't. If you took your hand off the wheel to scratch your nose, for instance, it would not be the same as if you took your hand off the wheel to fiddle with the radio. Scratching your nose is a natural reaction, but fiddling with the radio shows a lack of attention and concentration on your driving, which makes a huge difference in how it is perceived and scored.

The man told me that, I failed because I took my hand off the Wheel a couple of times and that I always use it when I turn, which is good but I take it off so I failed. but to me that was a dumb reason and if there is a point system Im sure I would of pass the test overall. all i did was rest my hand a little. when IM driving straight forward. But yeah, I thought the reason was just not reasonable. and to me there is more the picture even one of the co workers said are you serious. I dont drive with 2 hands. we laugh

Okay my friend don't get discouraged. I know that this all seems unfair and in your case I think it is. Especially, because you only did one thing wrong each time. Just take one step at a time and work your way through each test. Just remember after you get your licenses you can take your hand off the steering wheel if you choose. But until then practice practice practice. If you ever found out they failed you do to discrimination. you would own the state. Just keep that in mind. I hope you don't live in California because all you would get there is bills. Best Wishes!

Haha nope i live in Delaware. Hey owning the state / DMV sounds like an idea. Haha.. but yeah I'm upset about the situation and to me I understand the first 2 test and why they failed me and that's understandable but, the last one come on now.. That was like are you serious situation, the problem is now I have to start all over again which seems stressful but I have no choice to do so. I send them an email and telling them my situation and how i felt discrimnated by this man, right now no reply. I told them what he did wasn't right and I'm sure many will agree. Even my father said to me almost no one drives with 2 hands. But when you are with them just do it and get it offer with then once you pass drive however you like. I understood him, just the fact that I could of had my license right now makes me upset. But I have to let it go now.

i could not find exact words with your experience and i really feel so sad about this. i also find this not fair if what you feel about discrimination is true.

When it comes to the driver's test, I don't think that people pass or fail based on anything about their appearance. Case in point, I passed the test on my first try and I'd only had a learner's permit for exactly one month. My little sister, who looks a lot like me, failed hers twice before she finally passed and she had her learner's permit for six months before her first attempt on the test. The only discrimination that I really see with the driver's test is the fact that not all procters judge in the same way.

Hey dorann, I understand where you are coming from but, believe me in my situation it sounds crazy. The situation was crazy as well. I do agree with you on the bad part is that they all judge differently and that can be a problem in the long run. The biggest situation overall to me is that you have to schedule it now which is a waste of time so having your permit only for a month and taking it in that month is luck. Over here getting a schedule drivers test is... Like a month or two ways up and if you fail you have to renew it because by the time you take it again it expires and you can only renew once. That's awesome that you pass the first time, but to me, I would of had mines but, like you said they all judge differently.

Hi Payout! That was my first thought about failing for only using one hand. I have always known it to be a point system and it cannot be that this was the sole reason. I am not sure you can prove discrimination. I am sure he covered his end as he does have to submit the paper work. Sounds like there is a hidden reason of one I do not think you will be able to find out, sadly. I would just recommend not to return to this one and try at another one and see if it is better. I recently told you about the one here where it is well known for high failure rates.

Hey HWG, Yeah I just feel so upset and knowing I have to do this all over again. If thie discrimination does work which is hard to prove like you said but to me thee has to be a point system and I'm going to find out. I will investigate and I will talk to who I need to get something done.I know if I didn't have him I'll have my license right now. One hand ... Right sounds tooooo dumb of a reason to fail anyone esepciLly if they did everything right the first try and prove they had control of the vechile which I was driving. Very dumb I'm goin got tomorrow to take Take written test.
