Yoga - lose weight and thickness Effect is due to improved body awareness. Yoga helps people in middle age, to maintain their weight, overweight and even lose weight. Yoga is not sweat, does not require much energy, but improves body awareness. There seems to be normal, gaining weight a pound a year in age, because people do not fit their diet with age in the decreasing energy demand, informs the Center. But those who made at least 30 minutes of yoga a week, took in the ten years less than people who did not exercise. Overweight Yoga friends declined even five pounds. But yoga is not usually a sport in which much energy is required. The researchers attribute the effect to the improved body awareness.
