My Space is going away soon.

Anyone heard when My Space will be phased out? I think you could buy it today, but the plan is to shut it down within the next year. They couldn't keep it interesting enough for a broader audience and therefore will not exist anymore. What has everyone heard? Is this a good move?

Instead of planning to shut it off, I suggest they should've thought of solutions to the issues they are having. They should have gathered positive people to gather great solutions for their site instead of closing it. There is competition everywhere, even online, especially now that there's facebook but if only they could be positive of letting it not be a boring site, I know, with a Team working hand in hand, it wouldn't close if they would act upon it now. Just sayin'...

Yeah, amazing it went down so fast. Wonder what will be the next big thing. I think Facebook will struggle in a few years. Although all the apps keep it very interesting now, I think there will be something new emerge in a few years to change it all again.

Yes, indeed for a while. Thought they would keep the younger gen attracted to it, but doesnt seem to be working. It's hard to believe FB came a long and took off almost over night. My Space should have changed their platform to keep up. Wonder what will be the next big thing?

I think that MySpace has been under threat of being shut down for some time, and I can't see that anyone else would want to buy it because the audience has just been lost now. It will be a shame when it is deleted because I have a lot of things on there that aren't anywhere else, such as messages and things like that, and I will lose them and won't be able to get them back once the website is taken down. They made the mistake of trying to change too much and people just gave up on them because of it. It is a shame really because I liked it when it was nice and simple, but they just complicated things by changing too much at the same time.

I used to use myspace a lot too but now that facebook is here, I think myspace will be obsolete soon. Also, I have heard many things that people got hacked on myspace so that is why alot of people stopped using it and went over to facebook. I wonder what will be next after facebook. I didn't even know that facebook was made by a kid. Basically, he's a kid right? But a famous kid nonetheless.
