Who can help me with my poor English Grammar?

I am going to take SAT exam in Oct. My grammar section sucks. Would someone help me out? 1. Each time caroline turns on her computer, she has to enter a company code, then her initials, and then enters a password before she can begin working. The answer says "enters a password" is wrong. But why? I can not think out the reason. 2. Delgado's dilemma was like many other young writers: he had to choose between assured publication in a student magazine and probable rejection by a popular magazine. The answer says "like many other" is wrong. But why is that? would some one help me? Thanks a lot.
