Absolutely. Once a person has something to fears. their fight or flight response kicks in which will increase the heart rate and breathing rate so there is more oxygenated going to the muscle and they can fight or run.

When you are scared, cathecolamines in the body body like epinephrine increasses thus increases your heart rate and breathing rate. That's the amazing thing about our body.

Yes, fear certainly increases heart rate, and that's part of the way that lie detector tests work. When we lie, we get slightly more scared than when we tell the truth, meaning that we send out slightly different signals to the machine than we would have done if we'd been telling the truth instead of lying. One of the things that causes panic attacks is this increase in heart rate; as some people might actually think that they're having a heart attack so they're scared about that; when in actual fact their fear of having a heart attack will actually just make everything a whole lot worse than it had been in the first place.

When you fear, your heart beats faster and your blood pressure also rises up. So to those who have heart problem or hypertension they should not be exposed to fearful situations lest they suffer heart attacks or stroke. Some people even die due to cardiac arrest after seeing a very fearful event.

It really do. It's an automatic response to stress. Our heart rate will be affected with every exertion that we do including emotional outbreaks. But when we're back in our normal state our heart rate will become normal too.

It definitely does. When you are afraid, your brain passes a message to your whole body that you are experiencing something different and that you are not sure how to react with it. That includes the fastening of your heart rate. Our senses react with sudden events in our lives. That's the reason why you should not scare a person with a heart problem or you may regret it. :)
