Lucho has to say something to have the fans in back of him. If he would have signed for Arsenal, then he would have said that he is happy that he joined. Now that he stayed, he had to say that he is happy to stay. Like I said before, players say what the fans want to hear. Lucho has a similar way of playing like Cesc, so I think he would have been good at Arsenal, but he stays at Marseille for the moment.

I am not sure myself what prompted this statement. It could be the bitterness of missing out on the contract. I think he might just end up signing up for Arsenal next year and reverse this statement :). Personally I have not seen him play and hence do not really know whether he fits in the Arsenal gameplan. Cheers! Ram

ANy players would be happy not to join arsenal because they are not as good anymore. They lost many great players to rival teams, and they have not won any titles since 2005 when they have the best players available. With that, how is arsenal going to give confidence to players they plan to sign? Given for u and me, if a company is not making any profits, would u be happy to join them? I won't do that for sure.
