How to reduce lag?

Hi mylotters! I know that this isn't the right interest to post this discussion in but I can't really find a much more suitable place.. I love playing ps3 games online and I would like to know how to reduce my latency or lag. I just hate how the game lags by literally 2 seconds and I'm going crazy! I tried changing my Ethernet cable from a cat5e to a cat6 but it doesn't make much of a difference. I searched online for a solution to this problem but to no avail. Please help me, I would very much like to enjoy playing ps3 games online without it lagging up so often.

It depends what game you are playing, who are you playing with, and your internet connection. For example, there are some games with really bad servers that causes to lag a lot like Army of Two: The 40th Days.
Sometimes playing with a friend with a bad connection will cause your connection to lag. It has happen with me playing Call of Duty: Black Ops. I have a full signal and then 2 people with very poor signal will start making us have lag until they leave the room.
It can be your internet connection all together. Maybe your internet service is not good enough.

Hi, probably your problem would be your internet connection. Internet has a big factor in playing online games. Make sure that your internet connection is not intermittent because it produces lags to your games.
