So recently I have been feeling my laptop has been slowing down considerably, to the point it takes almost 5 seconds to post a comment on MyLot. I really want to make my laptop faster, so can you guys share any tips on a faster computer? I use a Windows Vista, by the way.

Good question. I'm using Vista too and I just recently optimized my computer to work faster. I need the machine power for a very voracious Virtual machine, which saps my computer of computing power. Anyway, for me to be able to help you I need the following details 1. How large is your hard disk space (total size) 2. How much free space is left right now? 3. How much RAM do you have? 4. Are you running on 32-bit or 64-bit windows Vista? 5. When's the last time you defragged your system? Once I get this information, I'll give you atleast 5 ways on how to speed up your windows vista. I just need to get a feel of how your system works. Anyway, a few ways to help you: 1. Uninstall programs that you don't need 2. Delete files that you don't need 3. Run a registry cleaner. I recommend CCleaner by Piriform 4. Defrag your computer. I'd love to explain why you need to these 4 things but I need to go now. I'll come back later and explain. Good Luck :)

You don`t need a new computer you only need a registry and disk cleaner. I`ve tried a lot of these and i think 2 of them are doing the job right . The first is CCleaner. A lot of people are using this one to clean up their computers at least once/week . The 2nd one is AML registry cleaner. - I tried this one and it does this job great. It removed more than 800 Mb useless garbage from my Opera browser. Both are free to use and remember you don`t need to pay for something if you can have the same quality for free. Also try to do the defragmentation on your hard drive at least once/month

You can either clean up all your malware and spyware with clean your p/c software, or you can do a bit of tweak in your registry and your browser to make it faster, but you need to have some advance computer knowledge to do that so that your p/c can start up as usual after the tweak rather than crash. The easier way is to install software that can scan your computer overall system and give you a dignostic report, then tell you how to proceed with the problem.
