Overweight was not only triggered by the amount and type of food that we eat, but also the way we eat. There is an opinion, people who used to eat quickly is easier obesity. The link between eating with weight gain have long been studied. In a new study published in the Journal of the American Dietetic Association, researchers found those who eat quickly are more obese than people who eat slowly. The study was conducted on women aged 40-50 years 1.6000 in New Zealand. The respondents were assessing how quickly their eating habits. Experts also asked the respondents of health data such as age, weight and other habits. Half the respondents said they eat in a normal speed and 32 percent said they ate quickly, while 15 percent claimed to belong to the people who eat slowly. So far known to people who fall into eating quickly group had higher body mass index. The study was still ongoing and will be analyzed next two years to measure the amount of weight gain that occurred in each group. Other studies that have been reported in TIME magazine showed people who ate with a large spoon instead eat less food. Meanwhile, studies conducted in Japan in 2008 mention the people who are accustomed to eating quickly has the risk of obesity three times higher than people who eat slowly.

If that's the case, I have to watch *how* I eat then. There are times when I just swallow the food because mainly I'm catching up on something. I don't like rushing on eating but there's just too little time for almost everything nowadays that even eating is compromised.

I can believe that. Most people are in a hurry to eat or are on the go. Plus the fact it takes 20 minutes to hit your brain that your are full by that time you'd eaten your meal and had desert and then later feel bloated because it took so long to trigger your brain to say "Hey! I'm full" I need to get in the practice of drinking 2 glasses of water before I eat that way I'm a bit fuller and don't eat as much.

It sounds true. My officemate is fat. And she's telling that it's due to the way she eat. She can finish meal in ten one minutes. I am thin and I consume my meal in 30 mins to one hour. According to her, a person who eats slowly more likely to break down the food into tiny pieces which will be easy for the metabolism to process. Unlike when you eat fast, the tendency is that metabolism makes it hard to dissolve large pieces of food.

well it does take a while for the message that you are full to reach the brain. so the faster you take food in, the more food is eaten in the time between becoming full and realising you are full. and if you eat slower you can enjoy and savour your food more, which will also provide more of a feeling of being satisfied than simply filling a bag in your body with bulk can ever do.

I do think that people who eat more quickly are more likely to be obese than those who eat slowly, because they're more likely to eat more food. If you're eating quickly, you eat more before you realise you're full than you would have done if you'd have eaten more slowly. This is why people say that you should put your fork down on your place between every mouthful, but I don't actually know of many people who do this even though it would be of great benefit to their health for them to actually do this.

but to eat quickly, allowing the food is not digested properly, and we will always feel hungry.

Few days ago I have read that late dinner may cause weight gaining. I am really surprised to know that eating quickly can also cause obesity. It is true that if we eat very fast then the food will not digest properly but how can that trigger more eating I am not sure. What is the normal pace of eating then?

just eat, quick or slow. All you need to do is doing sports. Which i guess not so easy to do. So, do sports or get obese.
