Last Monday, someone was shot dead in the barangay where I pass every morning. While we were approaching the place of incident while going to the office, we had a hard time going thru the narrow road as there were many on-lookers at the area. I didn't know what really happened until I arrived at the office. At the office, there were discussions about the incident. I don't really get the details what I learned was that there were two (2) persons who were hit by stray bullets and are presently confined at the hospital. These persons were having their breakfast when the target was shot. The target happened to get inside the dining room of the other victims that was why they were accidentally shot. Are we really safe in our own home? I guess we have to close our doors. Is it right?

No place is guaranteed to be safe nowadays. Even a house full of door locks and and steel frames can be invaded. I have heard and read news where the crime was committed right inside the victim's home when a stranger with a killer mind entered their residence.

Yes, that's true. I complained of our house being not secured but my husband will always tell me that even if it's full of locks, if we are really the target of the criminals we can not escape from them.

Well, in this case, it pays that we should always have the doors of our houses closed at all times. Had it been closed, nobody could have just barged in. And when we open a door, we should never open it straight when someone knocks , but take a peep as to who he/she is. When we know the person, then we could let her/him in. But if they are strangers, it's best that we talk to them in the window, without opening the door. Nowadays, it pays to be always be secured.

Yes that is what should have been done by the residents of that house. We are also doing that in our home, we don't open the door immediately whenever there are people around knocking at our door. We usually peep at the window and/or talk with the strangers thru the window.

Even if our in our home, we can't stop that phenomenon. Accidents happen every where. Even if we close our doors it will not stop the stray bullets from coming in. All we can do is to pray and have a strong faith in our God the Savior. Happy Mylotting my friend. God Bless

Yes, that's true. My friend experienced being caught by a stray bullet inside his room. He was sleeping when that happened, his right arm was hit but a bullet that passed through their roof. He was brought to the hospital on that evening. Thanks God nothing serious happened.

Anywhere, we can't tell that we are safe. Even inside the church. That's true the only solution is to pray always and have protection to our Almighty.
