Now I'm on holiday in China. I will have two months travel time with parents. Some of my parents feel it's a little strange to travel with parents. However I don't think so. How about you, my friends on mylot. Who do you want to travel with? Why? Do you like traveling with your parents? What should we prepare if we travel with parents?

I am fine with travelling with parents. Actually I love travelling with them hehe I save a lot on expenses LOL other than that I think it's fun too, doing the family thing once in a while. I don't really prepare anything when I'm travelling with them, they are the ones to do all the needed stuffs hehe.

If my parents would pay for the expense I will feel happy too. In fact i will pay for all the cost. My problem is I want to pay the money but my parents don't want me to pay for it. I will prepare for everything for the trip because I have more experiences than them. My parents have little experience and look forward to the trip i manage for them. thanks for the reply and happy mylotting.

I wish I could pay for all the trip and travel expenses but I don't earn money and don't have a part time job so yeah I guess that will have to wait. When I go with friends on trips, I use the money I have saved up, which is really heartbreaking by the way. Anyway for whatever my parents have done to me and provided, I hope I can repay them in the future soon. Have a great weekend!

I wish I can have some one who want to pay for all my cost too. However I'm not the lucky person. For this trip I plan I will pay for all the cost. It's not small money, but it's not very big either. I have worked for many years and saved some for this trip. Money is not an issue for this trip. Just how to enjoy the special experience is an issue. Now I already have had some short trips around my area and hope it would help for our long distance trip.

When I was 19 years old I did a couple of trips with my mom. We went to St Lucia in the Caribbean for a holiday together. It was my first time in the tropics and we loved seeing the palm fringed beaches. It was exciting to visit the capital city: Castries. I loved the day trip we did to see the volcano, the view of the Piton Mountains and the local villages. It was amazing to have a walk in a rain forest and see a cool looking waterfall.

Also with my mom we traveled to the Canary Islands when I was in my early twenties. We stayed in a place with many stray cats which we got food for. It was the winter but it was still fairly warm. My mom likes to stay at home these days.

I'm glad you have had happy memories with your mom. I have traveled with my mother once to Sanya, a tropical city in China. it was a happy experience too. However I never travel with my parents together. So I manage a long holiday this time and hope they would enjoy my arrangement. If this time we have a good trip i would manage more trips with them. Maybe going to the UK. I have been in the UK for five years but they never visit me. thanks for your reply and have a good weekend.

I have taken vacations with my wife's parents and my daughter and her daughter at the same time. It can be done and it can be enjoyable if you are flexible. It is also a great bonding time for my granddaughter with us and her great grandparents. If you enjoy it then do it.

Hi ya sblossom I used to travel all the time with my parents when I was a kid, then my parents divorced and travelled with my mother. Then I did some travelling on my own until I married and travelled with my then husband. since I have been on my own with my 3 kids we haven't done as much travelling but I always go places with my kids. I am sure that when they have left home and it is my time to able to travel more then I shall travel with my mother again.

I have teavelled with my friends many times in my life, but just a few times with my mother. I have never travelled with my father. Recently we had a short trip around our area and I found there something I have never realized before these experiences. I have to change my plan a little to suit my father habits. At the end of this month we will start our journey. I look forward to it. Happy myloting and thanks for answering.
