I can only remember Mikel Arteta when he played for Rangers. I remember him having a tremendous shot and he is a fighting spirit, a real Basque, if you ask me. I don't really know how he performed at Everton, but I guess Wenger has bought him with a good reason. I hope he will do well at his new club.

Will see if he will adapt well to Arsenal and if he can be a real asset to his new club.

On paper, it looks like a good match. Both love the passing game. But Arteta is not Cesc and no disrespect to the former, he will never replace the former captain. The Arsenal fans has high hopes for Arteta and some had named his signing as the turning point and savior for the season. I think that is putting too much pressure on his shoulder.

I think Mikel Arteta was the best player for Everton over the past three years. It is good to see him move over to a bigger club, but the question is whether he is already too old for a bigger club. I think he will bring expertise in Free kick situation for Arsenal. Also he is an excellent passer of the ball with good vision, which would mean that he should easily fit into the Arsenal scheme of things.
So I am looking forward to see how he shapes up in a Arsenal kit.
Cheers!

Mikel arteta is a good player at everton but he's not able to replace Cesc's duties and role in arsenal. Both of them are players of different calibre. On top of that, Cesc has been playing with the arsenal team for years and the same goes for Arteta in everton. It's not easy for him to fit into arsenal's passing game since everton is not even a passing team.
