Torres is losing confidence because he's not scoring regularly for his club and country. What a striker needs is confidence to score. What makes a striker stand out among rest of the team is his ability to score anytime, anywhere and that takes a lot of courage. If one is always wasting chances, the whole team will turn upon him, and if he didn't try, he will never get his confidence back. It's not easy for torres at this point of time.

I think Torres has been down in the dumps since last year. The injuries suffered by him leading up the world cup in South Africa seems to have affected his confidence. Since then he has been off and on in his form on the field. Also since his move from Liverpool to Chelsea, he is struggling to be regular in the starting XI for Chelsea. So that is not helping his form either.
Cheers!

ya, because this is his evaluation too
it`s stupid for Bosque if he call up for player who never play for his clubs..
it`s ridiculous..even the player is Messi or Xavi Hernandez..no one can be guaranteed and ya, i agree with you that this is a fair judgement

i think bosque want to make fair and don`t make discrimination..
he is only selecting a player who really fit and always ready for the match..
he is only selecting a player who really had reached the peak level and ready give the best for Spain national team

I don't know what happened with Torres since he moved to Chelsea. I always considered him one of the best strikers in the world as his positioning on the field is one of the best and he finishes like a killer. But since he plays for Chelsea, he is sort of unlucky, I guess he scored maximum 3 times at Chelsea, which is very low for a world class striker. It is normal for del Bosque to let those players play who are regularly starting for their clubs.

yes, iam amazing too...he is great good forward since Atletico madrid..
his bad performance doesn`t only happens in club but in National team level..
thats why Spain now is not identic with Torres..
Spain is lucky..they had too much good forward..
No torres, but villa can be hero for Spain....
we can see in world cup , when Torres always play from the bench..he is not starting eleven because if iam not wrong Spain use only 1 forward and use many midfielder for supporting 1 forward

Yes, you are right, Spain has many good strikers nowadays: Villa, Pedro, Llorente, Soldado and many others. I guess there are no worries in Spain, because the youth academies do a great job and they produce wonderful players.
