If you find yourslef in a unknown place, what will you do?

Now I am interested in the traversing fiction.
The kind of fiction usually begin with some one wake up and find that he/she is in a unknown place, and then stories begin.
After many TV series like Lost are that kind of story.
I have dream of if I am lost in a unknown place, what I will do?
I think I will try to use my knowledge to open a chemical product factory and make money by the way. While ask my friends about that questions, most of them say that they want to find the way to go home.
What about you?
What will you do in that situation?

I will check the place and time, too.
And I hope I can be in a place where I really unknown.
For if being a place or period that I know from books or nets, it is more like to play a game with cheats in hand. Loaing the interesting of finding out something exciting.

Interesting topic! I remember once i imagined that kind of situation. If that truly happens, inevitably I will start thinking as to why I am in that particular place and where are other people who I usually encounter in my daily life. Alongside, I would do some exploration and enjoy the feeling of being in an unknown place.

I think first you should believe that you are the very person chosen by the god to do something in that place. It is a very good reason for you start a new and meaningful life there.
And you may have great findings from explorations.
Maybe you are christ for that world.

its makes sense to get back to safety when we are stuck in an unknown place.To think of starting a business and earn money is never on my mind. Its always risky to stay in a place of which we have no idea.

To me, I think if I am in a place where on one knows me, it is easy to do what I really like. While in the real world, I may give up for the pressure from the person who I know. But I do not think about the safety problems about it. That is a big problem i should care.
Maybe that is the very reason for me to be different from most people here.

It's a very interesting question! If I encounter such a situation one day, the first thing I will do is to hide myself somewhere and observe the surroundings very carefully. It's very dangerous for me to walk everywhere before I'm sure I'm relatively safe here. For instance, I may be eaten by wild animals if I walk in a grassland. I may also be put into prison or killed if I stay at a place ruled by a crazy regime such as Taliban. I appreciate your idea of opening a chemical product factory but in reality it's quite impossible for a person who is new somewhere to do it.

You meet my taste.
I think if being a new place, I should watch the situation there for a while, then find out the opportunity for me to do something I am good at. Without the observe, I can not get the suitable answers.
And I am agree in most cases, it is not easy for one person to start a business only by himself/herself.

My first priority would be to head back home safe only after a little exploration so as first to find answer on how and who put me here, depending on the place what could be done here, if it forest then only thing is to escape from it, as we may die there of starvation which i really dont want to die like that. lets see if anyone else is there like me stuck in that place if there is.

In most case, uncomfortable and insecurity may be the first big problem for many people in that case. If know how to go back and how to make that can make people have a destiny and power to lead a hard life. While can not find anyone and can not find out the suitable methods may cause depression and some passive actions.
Maybe I am too idealization.
