Why is my printer doing this? / myLot

I have an HP 5400 printer. I was sent a cover letter for work. On the text, on every other sentence, the top of the letters are cut off, or it looks like there is a white line through it. But yet, if I print a picture or anything it's OK.

its because you may have cartridge issue.. either change it or refill it. it may solve your issue I guess..

it probably caused by a clogged black ink so that not all the lines printed, try to clean black ink if still something loss I think need to replace to new cartridge.

Try calibrating it.
