Invited for Onam by my friend

Today i am invited by one of my friend on Onam. it is the biggest festival in the Indian state , Kerala.It is the harvest festival , and is celebrated with joy and enthusiasm all over the state. I do not know much about this. I do not know what should i take also. i am buying a beautiful bouquet and with that i am not sure what sweet i should take, i think a beautiful cake or some beautiful pastries will look good. i am so confused, i do not know and i am not too friendly. she just stays in the same building so we become friends. she is very rich and so, i am very confused what to take and what not. please advice something. thank you.
