Have any of you had a person you wrote letters back and forth to when you were young... and now have lost touch with? Have you tried to find them? I have a few I would like to find but I don't know if I'll be able to since many people (myself included) do not post anything with my maiden name. We literally wrote letters back and forth for YEARS, from the time we met at roughly 10 or 11 years old up to after the point where we left home for college or a job or to get married. None of us ever lived close enough to do things regularly, we met at summer camps mostly or large joint church based activities, or girl scouts.

I had a childhood pen pal. I sent the letter to one person but another one answered. The letter was sent overseas and the person that found it and wrote me back said that he found the letter on the sidewalk, unopened and he did not no the person that it was addressed too. We wrote to each other for awhile then lost contact. I wouldn't know where to start looking for this person now. However, I would like to get in touch with a childhood friend I had when I was living in Daytona Beach, Florida. I have searched and searched and I have only her maiden name, don't even know if she is married or no. I just don't know where to start looking for her.

hi mommyboo this was emails and I have never met the p erson but myUncle Will was her grandfather so I guess we are cousins. anyway we both have Clark as last name, my maiden name in my case. we emailed all the time as we both love to write, and also we dobht have been doing our genealogy on our family trees. then this is my fault really I got locked into mylotting and suddenly I have realize I have not emailed in many months so I guess she felt hurt so she has not sent me an email either. and now I feel so bad as we even sent Christmas cards to each other. She is in Idaho and I am here in Southern California. Also I had a penpal in Pain surveys panel and I have not heard from her for months. she quit writing to me and i am so afraid something has happened o her as she had a lot of health issues too.Partly my fault as I have got so engrossed in mylot I have let some things sort of slide but this goes both ways.whats to stop them from sending me emails too?

I had lots of penpals from different countries when I was a kid. And I had one in particular that I was really close. She lived in Finland. But of course life happened and lost track of her. Then Facebook happened, and I tried to look for her again. I guess she married and had changed her name as I couldn't find her anymore. Or she hasn't bought in into the FB craze.
