I never plan on changing my avatar to my real picture. I mean I just want to keep my identity secret that's all. Even in my facebook account or other social networking sites my photo is always anime or cartoon characters. There's completely nothing wrong not to show our real photo. It's our right to keep it secret anyway. Privacy..

Any site that I do not know members directly I prefer to use an avatar. On my Facebook primary account I do use my real picture but then all my listed friends I know directly. I do have a secondary Facebook account, for which I only use to market articles and online earnings. There I only use an avatar as well.
Basically if I don't know members directly I would always prefer to use the avatar as well. Since I do not accept unknown people in my primary account I don't worry of any type of unknown activity there and also my primary FB is unsearchable.

My avatar, although not my real picture is a reflection of who I am and who I love and respect. I agree with you, Jacruz, it's our right to maintain our privacy. Haha, I am not a dog, that's for sure. But I love dogs, specially this dog. I have the greatest respect for him, because he is intelligent, loving, caring and loyal. Have a nice day, Jacruz.

Hi Jacruz!
Usagi has been my avatar here in myLot for as long as I can remember. I thought that this picture represents what I want people to show who I am, funny and positive and I always come in peace.
It's not a matter of privacy or hiding my identity or my face because I have uploaded my pictures here in some interests. And I'm also open to personally meeting myLotters if chance and opportunity permits.
I just never thought of changing my avatar anymore because some of my friends here would have already associated me in that picture. It's easier for people to remember me if they only see one picture.

Just like you, I don't want to change my avatar to my real picture. But this picture of a dog is also a reflection of my character since I'm a dog lover. But in Facebook, I have my real photo there since I personally know all of my friends there. Have a nice day!

Nobody can dictate you what you put or not put in your profile. It's your prerogative and it's your freedom. Mylot doesn't even say you have to put your real pic. It's your choice.
It's also my choice not to add friends in facebook and twitter that are not using their own pictures. I consider those sites as personal ones and i only want to add friends that i personally know. So if someone adds me in facebook hidden in an unknown avatar, i ignore that person.
