I am not sure whether i am sensitive to coffee.
If I get up early in the morning, I try to have a cup of coffee to amek sure I can focus my attention during the time before lunch. But it seems have no function. I am still sleepy the whole day. While when I sleep in my bed in the night, I find that I am hard to fall a sleep and can be waked up easily.
Is that normal? Or one can not have much deep sleep as an adult?

Every person has it´s own need for coffee. Some never do, in fact. I like a coffee to wake me up, but now that I´m having decaff it wakes me up anyway, so it must be psychological instead of the caffeinne input
. My brother cannot sleep if he takes a cup of coffee at diner. We must discover what we need and want.

I have tried to find out the suitable amount and suitable time for me to have coffee, but it does not work well. Sometimes coffee with no caffeinne make me excited all the day and sleep late in the night, while sometimes those with caffeinne still let me feel sleepy in the morning.
Coffee is a good drinking and with some special power. I hope I can enjoy its great taste and make good use of its effect on waking me up.

You don´t have to make yourself like coffee. There are other ways of waking up. Each person has it´s own way. Maybe you should sheck on other facts. Coffee cannot make you sleepy in the morning.

Thank you for your help.
I will try to find some other way to make me awake in the daytime. It is said that exercise can make people full of energy. But I do not like exercise, so I try to use coffee. But it seems that coffee can not help me. Maybe I should think some other fact that makes me sleepy in the morning.

I don't know. I am sensitive to the coffee. So I can only drink it in the morning and it can make me awake in a whole day. Sometimes I even feel sleepless at night. This is why I don't often drink coffee. And I can only drink it in the morning.
I love China

When I was young, I am not sensitive to coffee, I can fall asleep soon after having a cup of coffee. But now I feel my body changed. Coffee can keep awake during daytime, but it can not help me focus my attention on my job. While I can not fall asleep easily if I have a cup of coffee in the morning.
Thank you for your comment.

Hi, dandan07. I think that the mornings or the late evening time is best for drinking coffee. Coffee makes me very sleepy. I drink the decaffeinated kind, and that is probably why I tend to get drowsy. Drinking coffee just depends upon your body and what it can and cannot take.

It depends. Some people enjoy drinking coffee while they are doing something important. Others treat coffee as water so that they could not stop drinking it. Personally speaking, I usually drink coffee in the afternoon when I feel sleepy. Its bitter taste could temporarily help me get rid of the feeling of tired, but the effect is unable to last for a long time. At weekends, I like to drink coffee when I read a book in the balcony. The air mixing the smell of sunshine and coffee always makes me feel that stay in the heaven.

you can have coffee anytime you want but making sure that you don't take too much of it because this might affect your sleep. don't take coffee before you sleep. if you're having a hard time falling asleep during the night then maybe you can exercise a little before going to bed. tire yourself 1 hour before you sleep maybe with that you can easily fall asleep.

I am a decaf coffee drinker but was a regular coffee drinker for years. I do find that it is a must for me in the mornings. I can have coffee all day long whether it was decaf and or regular and never have any trouble sleeping because of it.
I think it reacts differently with all people as my boyfriend is one who says if he were to drink it in the evenings he finds he cannot sleep.

Coffee should be taken in the morning ideally to keep you on the go because it takes its effects 3 to 4 hours after taking it in the body system. There was a point in my life too that I suffered the same insomnia attacks and the sleepy lazy feeling during the day. Until I heard a sleep expert said that insomnia can be attributed to two things. One is the psychological problem which means something must be bothering the mind which in turn affects the sleep pattern. The other one is a physiological problem. People who tend to be uncomfortable perhaps due to an undiagnosed illness may experience sleepless nights. I think in my case, I fell on the first cause. Thoughts may have been circling around my mind perhaps planning things or possibly anxieties without me realizing that those had taken its toll on my sleep pattern and behavior. But since this had been resolved, the insomnia had disappeared too.

Coffee should be taken in the morning ideally because it takes its effects 3 to 4 hours after taking it in our system. There was a point in my life too that I suffered the same insomnia attacks and the sleepy lazy feeling during day time. One is the psychological problem which means, something must be bothering the mind which in turn affects the sleep pattern. The other one she said could be a physiological problem. People who tend to feel uncomfortable because they feel something painful due to an illness, could trigger sleeplessness. I think I fell on the first category. When things have been entering my mind because of different problems or planning things, we've been unaware that it is taking a toll in our sleep pattern. But once this problem has been resolved, then regular normal sleep pattern can be achieved once more.

I think it depends on the reason(s) why you want to drink coffee. If you want to drink coffee to keep yourself awake, then you might want to drink it when you reach the office. For me, coffee works best to keep me awake when I drink it slowly. So, maybe you could try that? Or maybe you could try to drink tea, cos it has more caffeine than coffee. I think it's possible for adults to have deep sleep. At least for me, I can have deep sleep.

Drinking coffee in the morning and afternoon helps you to stay sober. But it doesn't work on you. You had a problem of sleeping. Do you have any pressure? Do you have any trouble? You might need to relax yourself. A long -distance may help you. Travelling can refresh your mind.
