can any one please explain me the concept of LED televisions and how does it differs from LCD?

LCD is the newest technology and very thin you can even even hang it on the wall just like a picture and have higher resolution. Led is the previous version of LCD with less everything, less resolution, and not so thin. LCD uses micro mirrors, i prefer LCD.

hi..u got it the other way round.. LCD is older... since 1960s,,calculator etc...it stand for Liquid crystal display.. invented by the Sharp corporation in japan.. while LED is newer.. stands for Light Emitting diodes. is the latest one.. Samsung have the thinnest led tv..measuring at 10mm

Agree, now is LED generation. LED product is very popular now due to environmental and saving energy.

lcd.. a bit dim compare to LED.. LED is brighter because it emits light from the back..so contrast and depth can be enhance better than previously
