What is your bad habit and what are the remedies for it?

Hi friends, I have some bad habits and I want to share it with you friends.My first bad habit is I am very talkative & when I start talking in a point I never give a pause to it and try to finish my topic very fast as if I am late,I will miss my train.Sometimes it is very irritating to others and they cannot focus on my real point.Secondly , I am very emotional and sentimental and less practical and professional.Thirdly, I am very foodie.I like to eat different types of food. Well,for the third bad habit, I am checking my diet if it contains to much calories or not,& what proportion I am eating.But for the first tow habits or bad habits I have not the remedies.You can share your views with me.

If you want to break those first two habits you have to practice self control. First you need to be aware of exactly what you are doing. Instead of just talking watch yourself while talking and observe. Then you could take steps to be less talkative... again through self discipline. I think the biggest problem you might have is just lack of awareness while you are doing the talking. I congratulate and commend you for sharing your problems and asking for solutions I wish you all the best..habits aren't always easy to break and at least you are willing to try..kudos

My bad habits. I tend to be overly critical of myself. I am to an extent a perfectionist but it always frustrates me because I can't do everything perfectly. I have become more relaxed about it as I get older, but I still slip up.

Thanks Stary1 for your valuable suggestion.I will try to to follow your tips.But again , to get rid of a bad habit is really difficult.It is a very good quality to be a perfectionist and it is hardly a quality which could be seen among people.you try to do things perfectly-it is the main thing.If you slightly think on the other way round ,you are giving your 100 % to do a work at this age, it is highly appreciated among the young ones.Stay relaxed as much as you can which is also necessary.

My bad habit is procrastination...and at times I get in a certain problem because of this. Like, I need to pay my bill this day...and I would put it off for the next day...and then my internet connection got disconnected because I didn't pay that day. So..what I do is, I use a planner now...and it bothers me whenever I cross out the things that I weren't able to do, cause it looks bad on my planner, so I am force to do things in the right time.

Indeed that is a good solution.I think by using this planner slowly you will find yourself more systematic . Of course you will not be delayed for your work.It really works donsky14.

I would say that nail biting and inteerupting conversations are some habits I would rather not have. Ido my best to control them but they do often get away from me.

My bad habit is loudly speaking even I talking on only simple thing but my voice is loud so people think ohhhh I am doing the fight... so I want to take a medicine for making the calm voice but the bad thing is no medicine is invented for it...hahah... If you have any medicine then tell me..

Oh I have also the same habit.But I talk loudly when I get too much excited may it be with happiness or it be on anger.But what we can do is to become very careful of this bad habit so we can easily get rid of it.

I have a habit which is just opposite to you. I don't talk much. I talk only to few people and that also to a very short time. I keep thinking something which I myslef also don't understand sometimes. I talk whenever I am in my profession otherwise I will go to my room and then I talk to my family or some other 2 to 3 friends. then I come here sometimes to talk to you, otherwise I have a conservative nature. I like my habit but I don't know if it is good or bad.

Well, I think sometimes both of our habits are good & sometimes they are very bad.It depends on the situations.I came from a small town in India where people are very talkative,friendly less professional.But here most of the bear the opposite characteristics.So I think what we have to do is to become more aware of our habits and talk so much with that kind of people who are talkative ,& talk less wth them who are less talkative.

My bad habitat is forgetting to take my towel when I'm taking a shower lol so I put a note in the bathroom shower saying "remember your towel"

Hi Dallas, First of thanks for this topic. It is as good as a confession for me. 1st m kind of Shopoholic which equals to spendthrift. 2nd I am foodie, out of it is m out of shape. 3nd I am becoming a lazy bu,,now a days. Please suggest something for the last one as i have already started working for the first 2 points. How ... 1. I had restricted my visit to shopping malls. 2. Oh! it is a common feature of some people.The best way I suggest you to start doing that types of work in which you have real interest from outside.Like Taking care of your skin or hair on relar basis ,or cooking on regular basis,or something you like -do it in a fixed time on regular basis.Slowly you will find that you became engaged in doing works-one after another.
