hey i have found the persons who is giving me the negative rating ?

My star rating goes on decreasing from last two weeks which is very serious matter to me so i have decided to find the persons(culprit) who is giving me the negative rating so from last six days i have been started the investigation and the result comes positive i have doubt on a persons in mylot i don't know why she is giving me the negative rating might be jealous to see my awesome discussion
. I don't want to disclose her identity but the persons is female who is doing such crime.
so friend what should i do it will be good if i lodged a FIR against her or it will be good if i write a letter to mylot administration to take a strict action against her or you have any other idea..

You cannot KNOW who is giving you negative ratings (unless they specifically admit it themselves).
If you have reasonable suspicions, however, you should send a PM to GoAskAlice (he doesn't need to be on your 'friends list' for you to do this) and ask him to check your suspicions.
If there is any truth in what you suspect, the problem will be dealt with. The FAQs clearly say that: "myLot has taken precautions to significantly minimize the impact of rogue users harming your myLot reputation by repeatedly rating you negatively. In fact, this kind of behavior will only harm the user who does the inappropriate negative rating. To be clear, it is impossible for one rogue user to significantly damage the myLot reputation of another user." http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq11.aspx#5
Please understand that this discussion is likely to be considered an "individual issue" and so will almost certainly be removed!

I have to agree with dupremo that although this is something pertaining to the user here, it could also be something which is affecting others too therefore should be brought to everyone's attention surely?
I am curious to know how we can pinpoint a culprit though.

Dupremo, this is the passage I was referring to:
"Don't ... Start discussions on individual issues you are having with myLot. Please contact myLot via private messages and your issue will be addressed."
It's not a matter of 'naming and shaming' (yes, I think that would certainly come under the axe), it is simply that this would be more appropriately dealt with (as I have advised) by PM to Admin.
Well, it's up to 'Alex' whether this stays or goes.

did rating can affect our earning? coz if it don't then i don't really care about my rating. Plus we cannot forced someone to like us, so i think it's normal if someone give don't like with our response....

Our star is the only thing that affects our earnings.
Users with a higher star will earn more for their activty than users with a lower one.

I agree with mysd it's impossible to know who is rating negatively here. Also there are steps that were taken several years ago to prevent a user in doing this.
You should take this issue up with the mylot admin never the less. Mylot doesn't tolerate abuse. Good luck with your issue.

Actually, my friend when i was in my 8 star rating, it would sometimes slid down to 7. But i never suspected anyone to be rating me negatively.
I thought, it was because is always get notifications as to a discussion i responded to was deleted.
I think, Admin will not allow anybody to be continuously doing what you think.

Ohh? sorry for what is happening to you and it is really nice for you to found out who the person is, now that you find her. Okay? whats your plan? maybe you should warned the girl about doing this first to stop what she is doing. maybe she really has a reason why she keeps on giving you negative rating. But if the girl was still doing it maybe this is the time that you should write a letter for administrator.

it really hurt when i see the declining of the star rating and it hurts more when i know the persons who is giving me the negative rating is my friend
Thanks for the suggestion i will write a letter to the mylot administrator if this thing won't work i will take a illegal

I will just say the same thing others have said, report your suspicions to mylot so that they can look into the matter. Personal issues with mylot should be felt with through PM's not in a discussion. Mylot generally deletes these types of discussions. I don't know if having discussions deleted affects our stars, but I have always suspected that it does. That is my opinion, it doesn't state this specifically anywhere. Good luck with this problem, I know it can be very frustrating to watch your star fall and do nothing to stop it.

Hi, siliguri. This is very sad! I know that I always give you a positive rating, no matter what! If this person is rating you negatively, just to be rude, then I would definitely contact the myLot admin. I think that this is a serious issue that myLot should take care of. It seems like you have a troll at your pace here. In the meantime, just ignore this person and let myLot give them the punishment that they may see fit.
